The siege is over but at what cost?- chapter 47
It began with desperation.
The clash across the ruined Rome reached a scale no mortal empire had ever faced. The sky shook. The ground twisted. The dimension itself trembled under Tartarus's siege.
And at the center of it-
Emperor Alexander Severus,
a human,
stood against gods.
One corrupted god stumbled backward as Alexander drove his sword into the creature's chest-not through strength, but through the god core he carried, gifted to him by the Bright One months ago.
The core shattered.
Instead of ending the god, it sent him into a wild, chaotic meltdown. Beams of unstable energy fired in every direction.
Alexander didn't run.
He threw himself into every blast, deflecting with what remained of the core-bound light around him. The beams that slipped past him burned through the ground, ripping apart the battlefield-yet he held his ground.
Another god landed behind the melting one, shocked.
"A mortal broke your core?"
His voice dropped.
"Impossible."
A third god appeared, sneering as he saw the wounded emperor.
"You shouldn't live. You're barely a demigod."
Alexander smirked, even with blood on his lips.
"Peak demigod."
He raised his sword.
"And a peak demigod knows no limit."
The gods laughed.
"Then let's give you one."
They struck.
The emperor flew across the stone street, crashing into debris. His arm twisted painfully at his side. His crown shattered. A lock of his golden hair fell, sliced clean. His teeth cracked under the force of the blows.
He fell to one knee, gasping.
For the first time in his reign, he hesitated.
"If I run... I can live."
The thought slithered in his mind.
"If I flee... maybe the empire falls, but I survive."
But then he heard it.
A cry beneath the rubble.
A mother, half-buried and trembling, holding an infant against her chest.
Her voice broke.
"Your Majesty... please...
Save my child.
Save the last memory of my husband..."
Alexander's eyes widened in shock.
Then something inside him flared.
Light-pure, blinding light-burst from him for the first time since the siege began. His exhaustion vanished. His hesitation disappeared.
He rose.
And the world slowed.
He moved with speed beyond human, beyond demigod-speed within the very light itself, forgetting he ever had a limit.
In a flash, he tore the rubble apart and took the child.
The two gods roared and struck, spears of divine force slicing the ground-
-but Alexander was already moving.
He blurred through the battlefield, sparks of light trailing behind him.
He reached Leyla, who was guiding civilians toward a broken alleyway.
Her eyes widened.
"Your Majesty-?!"
Alexander pressed the infant into her arms.
"Run."
Two divine blows landed a heartbeat later.
One crushed his leg.
The other shattered his side.
He didn't scream.
He only smiled at Leyla.
"Protect them...
all of them."
Then he turned, facing the two pursuing gods.
He stood tall for the final time.
"Rome... will not die while I still breathe."
And with his last breath-
he unleashed his remaining light essence.
It surged outward like a silent sunburst, swallowing both gods in radiance-
-and when it faded,
all three collapsed.
Alexander fell with them, motionless.
The emperor of Rome had made his last command.
Abyss vs Tartarus was going on
Abyss's arms trembled-not from weakness, but from the sheer scale.
Two pillars the size of mountains leaned toward Rome, ready to crush what remained of the city.
Abyss held both.
His muscles tore. His bones groaned. His wind wrapped around the pillars like unbreakable ropes. Tartarus struck him repeatedly, blows like avalanches smashing against his back-
-but Abyss did not move.
Not an inch.
Tartarus snarled from within the fortress-shaped body he manifested.
"Fall already, child of chaos."
Abyss smirked.
"Too bad, Tartarus...
because the wall of Tartarus will fall today."
And then-
Abyss let go.
Not of the pillars...
but of his body.
His physical form remained behind, still gripping the pillars through sheer will and solidified wind-
-while Abyss's true presence manifested.
Not as a demigod.
Not as a mortal.
Not as the essenceless void he usually became.
But as Arthur.
The Harbinger of Light.
Abyss took on Arthur's form-golden hair, radiant eyes, glowing armor-manifested from chaos adapting into light.
"I am the mercy of a fool,"
Abyss said with a mocking smile, quoting Arthur's own self-given title.
Before Tartarus could react-a beam of pure, merciless light erupted from Abyss.
It hit Tartarus so hard the entire realm bent, groaned, and nearly shattered. The light didn't just damage Tartarus-it targeted the corruption itself, the evil embedded in his essence.
The fortress-form of Tartarus buckled to one knee.
Abyss tilted his head.
"That's just the start."
A second beam followed, exploding into stardust mid-flight-
a prism of light tearing through Tartarus's face, blasting him back.
The dimension quaked under the onslaught.
Abyss felt his presence fluctuating-Arthur's form required stability, and he had none. But the power... the power was intoxicating. Taking the shape of a manifested harbinger made him feel like the rules of the universe didn't apply.
Tartarus roared, collapsing inward, unable to withstand the barrage.
Cracks spread across the false dimension.
The air snapped.
The sky peeled.
The walls fell apart.
Tartarus's realm collapsed.
And Rome returned to the real world.
They had won.
But victory tasted like ash.
Half the empire lay in ruins. Entire districts wiped out. Families broken. Demigods and mortals alike scattered as smoke choked the air.
And the emperor...
gone.
Abyss walked through the destruction until he found Leyla.
She was slumped beside rubble, wounded heavily, her breathing weak. She had clearly been protecting others until she couldn't anymore.
Abyss knelt, his voice cracking softly.
"Leyla..."
He lifted her carefully into his arms and began walking.
Elysium appeared in front of him, landing shakily. Her usual grace was gone-her eyes darted around the devastation, horrified.
"A-Ab... Abyss... this... this is-"
Her voice broke.
"This is-I don't... I can't-"
Abyss placed a finger gently against her lips.
"Shush."
His voice softened.
"Don't cry, Elysium. Remember who you are. You're strong. Death... death is part of this world. If it weren't, why would a Harbinger of it exist?"
Elysium's hands trembled. She hugged her arm, looking away.
"I... I need a break."
This wasn't like the wars in her realm.
There, she could restore what was broken.
Here... nothing could be undone.
She turned, signaled her army, and retreated.
Abyss watched her go, then continued walking toward the floating ship where their allies waited.
Shock washed over every face when they saw Leyla's condition.
Enlight rushed forward.
"Let me heal her-"
Abyss stopped him with a single raised hand.
"No. I will."
He gently set Leyla on the ground.
And once more...
He left his physical body.
His presence reshaped itself again into Arthur-this time gentler, softer, more focused.
The others gasped.
Abyss, appearing as the Harbinger of Light, knelt over Leyla and placed a glowing hand on her chest.
Warm light flowed from him into her body-closing wounds, stitching torn flesh, restoring breath.
Her life returned...
...but the mark remained.
A scar that would never fade.
A reminder of the siege.
A reminder of Rome's fall.
A reminder of Tartarus's cruelty.
Abyss opened his eyes, still in Arthur's form, and whispered:
"You're safe now... I won't let anything take you again."
Pov changed to the Olympic stage
The crowds roared.
Every kingdom-great or small-had their eyes locked on the Olympics. Flags waved, cheers echoed, and stadiums shook from excitement. Even those far from the arena watched the games through the Divine Principle of Sight, a power Zeus created to allow all nations to see from his eyes.
It was supposed to be a day of celebration.
Of unity.
Of pride.
Then-
A nerve snapped in Zeus's chest.
He staggered, grabbing his head as a sudden second principle awakened inside him. A principle older than mortal kingdoms, older than the Olympics themselves.
A principle that activated only when something unimaginably catastrophic occurred.
And before he could stop it...
The vision blasted into every mind connected to him.
Screams.
Ruins.
Blood.
Rome-no sunlight, no sky, only corrupted air and collapsing pillars.
A kingdom dying.
The entire world froze.
Kings stood mid-cheer, mouths open.
Emperors dropped their ceremonial torches.
Children watching the Olympics in villages cried.
Even the Olympians-Ares, Apollo, Hermes-fell silent.
Hera covered her mouth.
Athena lowered her head.
Poseidon whispered, "By the tides..."
And Zeus felt every heartbeat that shattered across the realms as Rome burned.
A single tragedy broke the celebration in an instant.
The world mourned.
Not in news.
Not in rumors.
But live-through Zeus's eyes.
The greatest siege in recorded history shook the foundations of civilization.
ABYSS POV - THE DECLARATION of war against Kronos
Abyss sat inside the flying ship with the others.
Ethan. Jack. Leo. Clarita.
Leyla lay unconscious on a cot-still, pale, marked.
The ship was quiet.
Too quiet.
Ethan was the first to break it.
"So... what next? We can't let Kronos do whatever he wants-"
"Ethan," Clarita clicked her tongue, punching his arm, "let Abyss think."
"Right? He always has a plan," Leo muttered.
Abyss looked at them.
And said the one thing none of them expected.
"I don't."
The air tightened.
The others stared.
Abyss rose, and reality bent around him.
Shadows and wind coiled like serpents; the chaos inside him stirred like a storm ready to swallow a world.
He didn't need a plan.
He needed only truth.
"I need no plan," Abyss said, voice echoing like thunder across dimensions.
"All I need is death."
The ship vibrated.
His chaos form flared-purer, darker, heavier than ever before-shaking the sky, the sea, and the realms layered beneath existence.
Abyss opened his mouth.
And spoke to fourteen dimensions at once.
"KRONOS."
The name alone shattered clouds and froze cosmic winds.
"YOUR BLOOD WILL BE MY JUICE."
Every god, every titan, every mortal sorcerer felt that.
"I DECLARE WAR AGAINST YOU."
The declaration carried into every corner of creation.
"AND IF YOU ARE A PROUD TITAN..."
He smirked.
"...KNOW THAT TO ME, YOU ARE A WEAKLING WITH AN OVERSIZED EGO THAT SHOULD BE PUT TO BETTER USE."
The moment the final word left Abyss's mouth-
The Harbingers heard it.
All of them.
And instantly, the universe began to split.
The words of abyss reached all the 14 dimensions and all harbingers
When Abyss declared war, his voice didn't just travel.
It carved.
Across realms, across planes, across dimensions layered like pages of a divine book, the sound of his declaration sliced straight through every Harbinger's core.
A war cry powerful enough to shake the origin of their titles.
A war cry only a Harbinger of Chaos could make.
THE ALLIES OF ABYSS
ELYISUM - Realm of Love & Humanity
Elysium was sitting alone in her sanctuary-normally a realm of floating gardens, singing waters, and soft sunset light her favorite spot of her dimension kingdoms of heroes.
Not today.
Today the blossoms were wilted.
Her armor still carried Rome's ash.
Her hands shook.
When Abyss's voice thundered across her sky, the entire realm flickered with pink, gold, and crimson.
She inhaled sharply.
"Abyss..."
She clutched her own chest, as if trying to steady a heartbeat that kept slipping. Her army behind her fell to one knee as instinct.
Her eyes softened.
"Yes... I will stand with you. Even after what happened. Even if I'm afraid."
But when she looked at the ruins her realm was still trying to imitate-the destruction of Rome her mind couldn't erase-
Her expression hardened.
"Kronos... humanity is not yours to break."
The Harbinger of Love prepared for her greatest war.
ZEUS - Sky, Sovereignty, Divinity
Abyss's voice hit Zeus while he was still broadcasting the tragedy of Rome.
The sky above Olympus cracked like a broken pane of glass.
The Olympians turned to him.
The King of the Gods closed his eyes.
"So. The boy finally speaks."
Lightning spiraled behind him, forming a throne made of raw sky-fire.
He rose from it slowly.
"I stand with Abyss. Let the realms know: the Sky has chosen."
The Olympians felt the decision ripple through their bones.
Hera whispered, "Zeus... this will change everything."
He nodded.
"It already has."
KYTRHONE - Foundation
Deep within the bedrock of existence, where worlds are anchored and laws of reality are written like fossils in stone, Kytrhone's realm trembled.
The Harbinger of Foundation opened his eyes-massive stone slabs shifting like eyelids.
Abyss's declaration echoed through the bedrock of Creation.
Kytrhone chuckled.
A slow, tectonic rumble.
"Kronos should not have dug this grave."
He planted his giant stone hand on the world's foundation.
"Chaos may roar, i will be the ground that support Zeus with . Abyss, I stand."
The worlds steadied... choosing their alignment.
ARTHUR - Light & Creation
Arthur had been meditating in the Prism Citadel-a palace of refracted light-when Abyss's voice shook the entire prsime structure yes that's not heaven it's the aetherom.
He sighed.
Softly.
Sadly.
"Harmonic... you borrowed my form ."
But there was no anger. Just pride and worry twisted together like threads.
He stood, light bending naturally around him like a cloak.
"If you are taking this path, then I must walk beside you."
The Harbinger of Light raised his sword.
It glowed with the color of creation itself.
"Kronos wishes to rewrite fate. I shape beginnings before fate even exists."stood like a hope of course as he is after all lights/creation/hope/purity
Light aligned with Chaos.
MIRAGE - Shade & Illusion
Somewhere in a realm made of mirrors-every surface a lie-Mirage leaned back lazily, dangling her legs over a shattered reflection the womb of shadow is her dimension.
Abyss's voice echoed.
Her eyes lit up with playful amusement.
"Oooh... he finally declared war. Took him long enough."
She snapped her fingers. The mirrors around her rippled, showing Kronos's movements, Tartarus's injuries, the collapse of Rome.
She smirked.
"Time to pick a side... and I do like the dramatic ones."
Her mirage-army formed behind her-silent shadows with shifting faces.
"Let's cause some chaos, boys."happy she could finally support abyss in a way she is a pro at
OLIVIAN - Beginning & Life
In the realm of roots, seeds, and glowing embryonic creation, Olivian felt Abyss's voice ripple through the soil.
She placed a hand over a growing universe-seed.
"Chaos calls for life."
Plants bloomed instantly.
Creatures emerged from light.
Streams reversed their flow and sang.
Olivian closed her eyes.
"Kronos takes. I give. I choose Abyss."
Life sided with Chaos against Time.
Kronos also had allies
THE HARBRINGERS OF KRONOS
And on the other side of creation...
Kronos smiled.
Because his six answered too.
BOOGYMAN - Terror & Awareness
In the endless void of nightmares, where fear itself sleeps lightly, Boogyman's mask twisted into a grin.
Abyss's declaration made the entire nightmare realm shiver.
He inhaled.
"Ahh... war."
His voice sounded like a whisper beside every mortal ear.
"The boy brings such delicious fear. I will support you, Kronos."
All shadows bowed.
ATLANTOS - Depth & Blood
Deep under a black ocean where no light could ever exist, Atlantos opened his red eyes.
His chains rattled.
Abyss's voice reached even the abyssal trenches.
He let out a low growl.
"If Chaos rises... blood must follow."
His hands dripped with primal seawater-older and darker than Poseidon's domain.
"Kronos. I stand with you. The oceans will run red."
SYNTHRIA - Rebirth
Synthria floated above an endless graveyard of cocoons-dead universes in shells waiting to be reborn and yup it's her forest of rebirth.
Abyss's declaration made every cocoon crack slightly.
She whispered:
"War is the purest rebirth... the destruction that makes way for new life."
She smiled beneath her veil.
"Kronos, I will stand with you. Let the realms die and start anew." as she looked at her newest project the twin
typhon
MIRA - Inevitability & Fate
In a realm where threads stretched infinitely-threads of destiny, threads of doom, threads that marked every possible ending-Mira paused her weaving.
A single golden thread snapped.
Abyss's voice didn't surprise her.
She had seen it coming.
"The war was always inevitable."
She touched Kronos's thread.
It pulsed.
"I stand with Time. With the one whose fall is already written, yet whose struggle shapes the universe even though that was not what I foreseen."
TARTARUS - Siege & Imprisonment
Tartarus, weakened but alive, roared from the deepest pit of all creation himself.
Abyss's declaration hit him like salt in an open wound.
"CHAOS FILTH."
He slammed against his realm's walls, breaking mountains with pure rage.
"I WILL FIGHT FOR KRONOS UNTIL YOU ARE IN CHAINS."
His realm trembled with hatred.
OBLIVION - Death & End
And finally, in the emptiest place that ever existed-where nothingness was not a lack but an active force-Oblivion opened his hollow, starless eyes.
Abyss's war cry reverberated through his eternal silence.
He didn't move.
He didn't blink.
He simply spoke:
"...This ends with me."
The End had chosen.
And if you're asking what happened to Rome it couldn't sustain itself people divided now the great empire is 3-4 sepreated kingdoms and if you're wondering about Leyla abyss and other took her home her father seeing the wound refused to let her engae in any Demigod stuff anymore before hating on him remember he still a normal human actor with a demigod daughter
