Ash stumbled downstairs, rubbing his eyes.
Today was departure day—but as usual, he'd overslept.
When he reached the dining table, Ace, Yellow, and Delia were already eating breakfast leisurely.
"Eh? Ace, why are you at my house…?"
"Just freeloading a meal and chatting with Aunt Delia~" Ace smiled casually—while under the table, Delia's hand was firmly holding his D.
After saying goodbye to Professor Oak, Ash had brought Yellow here.
Of course, an inevitable farewell salute came from Delia.

"No need. Let's go take a look~" Ace released Rapidash, lifted Yellow onto its back, and galloped off as hooves thundered.
Raindrops pattered down as they reached a high, open clearing near a cliff.
"Listen up! I'm Ash from Pallet Town! I'm going to become the world's number one Pokémon Master! Come at me—I won't lose!!!"
Ace heard Ash's declaration just as they arrived.
But the swarm of Spearow had already surrounded him.
"Ah…!" Yellow's face went pale. "Brother Ace, we should help him!"
"No rush," Ace said calmly. "Ash can handle it."
Crack—!
Lightning tore across the sky. A torrential rain poured down, illuminating Ash's battered face.
Behind him, Pikachu—also injured—suddenly raised its head.
An indescribable aura surged through its body as it leapt onto Ash's shoulder.
"Pi. Ka. Chu——!!!"
Thunder shattered the heavens. The world turned blinding white.
No matter how many times Ace watched this scene, his scalp still tingled.
"This… is where my dream began…" He murmured softly.
Yellow covered her mouth, stunned by the rapid deepening of Ash and Pikachu's bond.
"This is the most beautiful thing between Pokémon and humans," Ace said, patting her head. "I call it a bond."
The thunder dispersed the dark clouds. Sunlight returned, and a radiant rainbow stretched across the sky.
"Lih!"
At the end of the rainbow, a golden-red figure flew gracefully through the air.
Golden wings gleamed without stirring the wind, as if existing in another space.
It was Ho-Oh.
Her red eyes scanned the land before she flew along the rainbow's arc.
Under the dazzling light, the world felt peaceful.
Ace looked up at the Rainbow Bird, a dangerous curve lifting at the corner of his mouth.
In his vision:

Ho-Oh initially intended to bestow a prismatic feather upon the pure-hearted boy below—but then she sensed a probing gaze.

She saw the boy below silently forming words with his mouth.
Unconsciously, she read them.
"Sooner or later… I will… get on… you?"
"…???" Ho-Oh was utterly baffled.
This human looked young—but his thoughts were shockingly perverted.

A terrifying pressure descended—but Ace remained unmoved.
With a Charm Spirit, pure mental suppression was meaningless to him.
Seeing this, Ho-Oh flicked a feather downward.

The golden-red feather shot toward Ace's chest.
"Still fiery-tempered." Ace grinned and caught it with one hand.
As a beast of auspice, Ho-Oh hadn't used lethal force.

They believed that one day, under their master's guidance, they would reach that height too.
Just as Yellow and the others expected Ace to say something heroic—

"Heh… don't worry. One day, I'll make her lie on the same bed as you and lick the same—"
