Existence chuckled, a smile playing on their lips. "Now first things first, I am what you might call a progenitor considering I give birth to countless different concepts..." They took a sip from their cup.
Existence began to count their fingers. "There's Life, Resurrection, Father Time, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse- The cute little Nursery Rhyme..."They giggled.
"But of course, there is one that proceeds before all of them..." Existence sighed as they looked at a dark corner.
"It's about time I get into the spotlight..." A voice called out from the darkness, his voice was raspy and tired.
"Oh dear, nobody is left behind, everyone gets their chance in the spotlight." Existence remarked.
"Oh really?" The voice called out, with a solemn sigh, the person emerging from the abyssal darkness and moving closer.
The person wore a hat that covered his head, a cloak surrounding him, all of the clothing he wore was in an all pitch black style, it was as if the person was a nobody. Rather he is Nobody himself.
"You look like you've seen better days..." Nobody chuckled sarcastically, pulling out a lighter.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk; have I not taught you any manners?" Existence remarked, erasing the cigarette from his mouth with a snap.
"Tch, I'm just trying to relax and this is how you welcome your son?!" Nobody scoffed.
"So now you're talking back to me." Existence frowned.
"Ever since the moment I was born." Nobody smirked.
"Hmph, besides you can't tell what I'm feeling right now because there's not a single expression on my face." He continued, walking around in circles.
Existence sighed and crossed their arms. "So what are you doing here, have you come here to mock me and belittle the one who gave birth to your entire existence?"
Nobody remarked. "Uhhh nope, not one tiny bit."
"What I'm here to do is to discuss some stuff such as why did you create gods when we concepts exist in the first place?" Nobody asked, waiting for a response.
Existence responded. "Well you can say that these beings are easier in terms of worship and concepts are not exactly visible to the human eye-"
"That may be true but the gods also have a true form which is not allowed for humans to lay their eyes upon..." Nobody clarified.
"You really are a smart one eh?" Existence raised an eyebrow.
"It's obvious, I'm your firstborn unlike my younger siblings, I have better knowledge than they do..." Nobody looked up and sighed.
"But other than that, why did you create humans?" Nobody asked once more, curious on what Existence will respond this time.
"Ahahahahahahaha! Ahem! I'm sorry but, is that even supposed to be a question?" Existence replied.
"Humans are one of, if not one of the best things that I ever brought forth into this known plane! Yes, they may not be perfect like us but that's what makes humans extraordinary, humans make mistakes, they have sins, and those stuff can be considered as a bad sign but their best trait is something I'd like to call: progression!" They added.
"If you think about it clearly, we concepts have a stopping point, we and the gods have limits but that's what humans don't have, when they are pushed to their own limits, what do they do? They don't stop, rather they continue pushing forward, they never stop striving and going as far to even surpass their limits!" They exclaimed with joy.
Existence teleported both of them to Earth. "Look at the world right now, right now they have achieved the pinnacle of their civilization, we may have been the ones who created them and the world but it is their time to make a name for themselves and bring forth contributions that will go down throughout time itself!" They shouted to the tip of their lungs."
"Now, does that answer your questions?" They looked back at them, waiting for their response.
"Well, that has slightly elevated my perception towards the human species..." He sighed, putting his hands inside his pockets.
"But, there is still more for me to see about them..." He looked back at them with a serious expression before turning away and walking towards a different direction.
"Hmph, whatever that brat is up to- I hope they know what they're doing..." Existence sighed in doubt.
| SOMEWHERE FAR FAR AWAY |
"If I'm being honest those creatures have definitely showcased their potential through progression over time..." Nobody spoke to himself.
"But what if something happened during those times of progression? Would it still progress or remain stale?" He questioned himself.
He stood up and sighed. "Well, there's only one way to find out..."
Nobody began to hover of what appears to be a stream of lines flowing in a straight direction, like a flock never separating.
"Hmmm, so this is what human history looks like, it's fascinating and all completely organized..." He said whilst dazzled by the sight.
"Well I just wonder how big of a difference would it be if I were to change it..." He chuckled.
"Let's see...5%? No that would be too few, hmmm...10%...15%- 20% is close to what I'm desiring but let's go with 25% for good measure..." Nobody grinned.
And thus with a single disruption in the timeflow, everything began to change in mere milliseconds.
The cosmos began to rupture and shake, all the conceptsnbegan to feel it and even Existence themself.
"What has he done?!" Existence exclaimed.
And so Existence summoned forth all concepts: Life, Resurrection, Father Time, Nursery Rhyme as well as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse inside her throne room.
"I want all of you to aid me in this battle to arrest Nobody! There will be no objections!" Existence exclaimed.
All concepts nodded without hesitation and all of them went ahead and travelled across the cosmos to find him.
They entered his domain in search of him and of any evidence but it was too late- the damage had been done.
"W-what's happening to me?!" Nursery Rhyme exclaimed, noticing the cracks on their body.
"Shit." Death moved closer to examine Nursery but it was too late, Nursery broke into a million pieces.
Everyone else began to experience cracks around their body and on that moment-
"I figured you wouldn't let this slide but it's too late, I'm already in control now everyone..." Nobody declared.
"You sick son of a -" Death said before getting destroyed as well.
"There's nothing you can do! Nothing, because this time I'm the overarching power of this world...time will flow differently and all of your memories will be erased, goodbye proper human history and hello new world!" He grinned.
And then he snapped. It was all that it took for a universal reset that paved the way for a new world altered due to Nobody's machinations, everything that once was is now replaced with a new counterpart.
"Rejoice, now the universe will be much more interesting..." He chuckled in amusement.
For the first time in his life, there was nothing out there to stop his power.
