Ash decided to push those thoughts aside for now.
There would be time to think about whether the novel needed more chapters or not. Right now, his focus needed to remain on the evolution currently unfolding within him.
"Well," he said, turning away from the boards, "let's just leave this place as is for now."
Nia and Elysia both nodded.
They could feel something shifting inside Ash—something deep and fundamental was changing. Naturally, that meant the same was happening within them, just not to the same degree.
Still, neither of them wanted to interrupt it.
"Let's go," Elysia said softly.
Nia nodded, though her black eyes carried a trace of excitement.
"I want to see what you look like when you come out of this."
With that, the three of them turned and stepped out of the Author's white void.
They reappeared in the vast space between universes within Pantheos. The familiar sight of distant glowing realms and floating stars stretched out around them.
