I wish I could just go to bed. I've only just touched the ground and I'm already exhausted. I wish my mice were with me. But I couldn't risk them coming here. Even if transformed them I couldn't guarantee that they would be safe. I'm truly proud of how efficient my heroes have been with this attack. I can already sense that Haruo has been restrained. I hope he can understand us soon, I don't like hurting him. But he's still so much like his fellows, all so sad.
"It's ok." I whisper and place a hand on my chest. "You can do this." Maybe I should have put this off. I need more time to shake my nerves, it's been at least twenty years since I've done one of these. Got to make sure not to go overboard. Wouldn't want to completely destroy all this infrastructure. The only thing I really need to deal with is that spire in the distance. Why didn't I just land closer? Maybe I'm punishing myself? Whatever the reason it wasn't a good idea. They already have a sniper aimed at my head on the hundred and thirty first floor. It looks very futuristic, this must be that metal Bernet whipped up. She's outdone herself. The bullet travels miles in less than a second, if I was Kaito it would likely hit.
"I know that! I'm telling you the bullet stopped!" The sniper yells at what I assume is his superior officer. I'd like to think I wouldn't act like that to my boss if I had one. Then again my last experience with that sort of thing didn't end too well, so I can't really talk. But still I wish I could make out what those people look like. But the memories are just too foggy, but I don't know if that's July choice. It's the same feeling I'm having now, trying to make out my attackers. I'll admit I have to work with outlines most of the time. I look over the bullet floating perfectly in the air. I imbued a time fraction of my life force into the bullet before it made contact. I have to be reminded sometimes that most people can't see the time layer of pink fire covering it. I mime a casual waving motion and the bullet is turned to metal dust. As soon as they see me do that I take to the sky. Any aerial Kaiju make sure to fly out of my way as I pass. I'm glad they are at least polite. Although the people down below would likely disagree with me. I didn't design this body for speed but I still manage to make it to the spire in less than a minute. When I land at the front entrance I find myself puffing my chest out in pride. I quickly realise how strange that is and walk inside. I will make sure to collect her then destroy this place. Anyone who fails to leave by then is regrettable but fair. I thought there would be a receptionist I could ask but there isn't anyone here. Just a stadium sized space. I really thought I could experience an office workspace for once but clearly this was a bad time. That's ok. She's on the top floor anyway. She's giving the order for her soldiers to finally move out. I step out of the way of another sniper shot. Some sort of canister rolls on the floor before spewing out a white gas. Did she not tell anyone about me? I can still sense all twenty four of the soldiers aiming at me. I spread my life force to make sure I cover all of them. From there it's as simple as thinking to slice them all into pieces. I break the next sniper shot into shrapnel, transforming it into a shotgun blast. The return volley takes out both the sniper and spotter.
"I wonder what comes next." I mutter and stare at the floor. I think it could be good to see what this organisation has to offer. For strategic reasons of course. Who would want to see awesome futuristic weapons? Not me certainly. I suppose next stop should be the top floor. But first I'll deal with the last two. Three arrows hit my chest and explode, releasing pink gas everywhere. It burns a large chunk of this body away, primarily the chest area.
"I totes got her!" The woman in pink and gold says into her communication device. A man in green and gold rushes up behind me, a vibrant light colouring his being. Its speed is similar to my sisters, but not enough to hit me. His arms are covered in some sort of piledriver contraption, certainly useful when fighting large creatures. I spin and push his arm away with my wings, using his momentum against him. As he passes me I grab an arm and break it with a squeeze. I then spin him around and throw him up at his ally. His pained screams are the only thing I hear from him before he smashes through the various metals and concrete that separates them. I'd tell them I'm sorry but if I did that to everyone I'd hurt I'd never get anything down. I'll make it up to everyone when this is all over. But it's not like they'd hear an apology anyway. The force has knocked them out. Since I think we will be filling our quota tonight I will do Bennet the favour of sparing her allies. "Now to g-" I'm then cut off by some sort of blue light obliterating my body. Is this that cannon Allister mentioned? She really fired it at her city? If I still had eyes I would be blinded by the light. The bullet somehow contained enough force to shatter the moon, and yet she had perfectly channeled all that force. "You had better hope you didn't hit the others with that stunt." I coldly warn the the moving pile of rubble. I only exist right now as life force, something I'm glad I can uniquely experience. I start to remake a physical body around this one with parts of the now destroyed spire. I'm sure the fall and devastation were incredible sights but I was a bit busy giving myself a brain. That parts more for nostalgia I will admit. From the burning wreckage emerges one of my heroes. Metal beams bend in the wake of the giants strength. Lightning crackles around its round arms. Her body could be more accurately described as millions of metal fish swimming around to make the shape of a knight. In truth her real body is a car sized heart in the centre of it all, sending electrical signals to move her swarm.
"Youuuuuuu" the static filled voice hisses at me. I reach a talon out to her.
"It's time to come home. I promise once we finish you will never have to see me again." She doesn't believe me, but I am telling the truth. I have no intention of continuing on after this journey reaches its end.
"Kill youuuuu" a lightning bolt blasts a hole into my stomach. My sight ripples for a moment because of the heat.
"Oh of course because you don't have a human mouth anymore we can't have a conversation?" I try and jokingly tease but I don't think she liked it. At least that's the message the floating trucks are telling me. "Oh boy." With her control over magnetism she chucks the trucks at me. I just stop them in the air and throw them away with a flick of the wrist, an explosion soon following. "This is your last chance." My wings start to grow outward even more from my back. "Any more tantrums and I'm getting violent." My eyes flare with pink fire to make my point. If the 500 foot tall metal monster thought of a response she doesn't say it. Just another lightning bolt. I let it blow my left arm off while I rocket at her for a punch. My fist sinks into some sort of blue wall. It fills my body with electricity and completely stops my momentum. If I was human I would have died instantly.
"Kill." She raises her hands and charges an attack.
"I know. But not yet." I make a body right behind her and transfer to it. My life force easily slipping through the electric bubble. I raise my hands for dramatic effect and a geyser of lava erupts beneath her feet. A high pitch screech leads to another bubble to keep the lava away before she flies away. Another new body next to her lets me deliver a powerful punch, blasting away some of her pieces. Of course I get shredded to pieces almost immediately by mote bullets but that really isn't an issue for someone like me. The next one loses both wings immediately but still delivers a kick that sends the whole Kaiju flying across the city. Some buildings and Kaiju are turned into a fine paste when she travels through them. I expand my range even more, making spike pierce her from the ground. They all missed the core and melt almost immediately due to the sheer heat she's radiating. In fact almost everything around her is being set ablaze as she generates more lightning. She condenses a sizeable chunk of metal into a massive spear. She's likely trying to replicate that cannon she made. Coming from her it likely would be even more destructive. Oh well, a dozen slices leave her without arms to fire with. This seems to anger her even more, as she has already made it back over here and has kicked me into the sky. After that she just keeps following me and punching me higher and higher. Wach punch shatters my body and by the time I've repaired it she's hit me again.
"Youuuuu… areeeeee… weakkkkkk…." Ok, I think I'm done humouring her. I blow her back with a massive gust of wind. The momentum from her last punch has places me in the centre of the clouds. It was a mistake to not use this form to begin with. I'll correct my mistake.
"This is over." A pink inferno engulfs my body, lightning and snow dance about the clouds. My spine grows to the point that it rips through my skin, hardening into metal and taking the shape of hundreds of spears and swords. My arms become purple wings that match the size of my blue ones. My body covers itself in razor sharp blue and purple feathers. My mouth is replaced by a jagged beak that leaves several scars on my face. My transformation is finished when four more eyes appear on my face. By now my opponent has reached me again, but I could easily fit her in a talon by now. The fear is palpable right before I hit her with a blast of cold. It freezes her and half of her city in an instant when she crashes. Maybe I went a bit overboard there. But I can sense that she has been neutralised. And from up here I can tell that we have definitely met our quota. Haruo and Lilith have been defeated by my sister and Jormy. So we just need to bring them along and we can go. I'll have Kaito round up all the kaiju. Where are all the kaiju anyway? Don't tell me all of them have been defeated. How could they lose so quickly? The attack barley started thirty minutes ago! Oh. She killed then. That golden light zooming around down there. You just couldn't stay away could you? I don't understand why you won't help me? This is the only thing witches are good for. And yet my own sister continues to stand against me. Please don't make me hurt you Lancelot.
