Chapter 319 - Looking for the Space Stone

Aaron waved his hand, and a gauntlet made of Vibranium, Adamantium and Uru appeared on the surface of his right hand, with the Soul, Mind, Reality, and Time Stones embedded on the back of his hand.

Only the Space Stone and Power Stone remained.

Although the remaining Power Stone and Space Stone didn't add much to Aaron, who didn't have a bit of a collecting habit?

He had already collected four, and the most difficult Soul Stone was already in his possession, the remaining two were just a matter of convenience.

Aaron thought for a moment, then told Wanda something and headed to S.H.I.E.L.D..

Wanda, meanwhile, looked at the familiar yet strange Kamar-Taj and sighed deeply.

When she came outside, Mordo and Wong, along with the other sorcerers, had been waiting outside for a long time. They seemed to have already known about the Ancient One's death and that Wanda had become her successor.

Although they were unfamiliar with Wanda and quite skeptical of her abilities, they wisely didn't show it. After all, behind Wanda was Aaron the Destroyer.

"Greetings, Sorcerer Supreme."

Mordo and the others respectfully performed a sorcerer's salute to Wanda.

Wanda knew that she was about to begin the life of a 'Sorcerer of Burden' again.

This position was not a symbol of privilege but a burden. Otherwise, the Ancient One would not have preferred to die rather than continue living.

Once you sit in this position, it's hard to get up again.

On the other side, Aaron went straight to the Triskelion Building.

He smoothly passed through security and went directly to Fury's office.

Fury already knew Aaron was coming. "Mr. Aaron, please have a seat. How can I help you?"

Fury had a sincere smile on his face.

As for how many more 'motherf*ckers' he was thinking in his heart, that was unknown.

Aaron got straight to the point, "I need the Space Stone."

"The Space Stone?"

Fury carefully recalled, seemingly without this item in his memory.

Looking at Fury's confused face, Aaron reminded him, "Project Pegasus, the Tesseract, the Avengers, don't tell me you're not aware."

Fury's smile became a little stiff.

Project Pegasus was a secret project he had restarted recently after going through the World Security Council. He specifically told those politicians not to disclose this matter and particularly mentioned Aaron.

At the time, those politicians had agreed wholeheartedly.

But now...

How did Aaron know?

Damn it, we have a traitor among us!

Fury roared in his heart.

Since World War II, their research on the Tesseract had continued for decades, producing many advanced technologies.

However, after the Kree incident, plans related to the Tesseract were suspended.

But after Aaron's sudden emergence, Fury had no choice but to pin his hopes on the Tesseract, hoping to gain power to arm himself from it.

But their plan had just begun when Aaron came knocking.

Motherf*cker, what a bunch of incompetent teammates!

Fury forced a smile. "Of course, Project Pegasus is at the United Dark Energy Headquarters, let me think… the location is in the Hamaway Desert in California."

"If you need the Tesseract, I can convene a United Nations meeting now…"

"No need, I want it now."

Aaron didn't bother with Fury's nonsense and glanced at the time.

"It's almost time."

"What?"

Fury had another bad premonition.

A familiar scene.

He subconsciously reached into his pocket, took out his phone, and the moment his finger touched the screen—

Beep... Beep...

The phone rang.

Fury's heart skipped a beat, and he closed his eyes in despair, sighing inwardly.

As expected.

It's not the enemy that's terrifying, but the incompetent ally.

Motherf*cker!

"I understand."

Fury couldn't be bothered to answer the phone, he was so angry he wanted to curse.

He picked up the phone next to him and pressed the button.

"Coulson, immediately bring the 084 Cube to the Triskelion Building. Aaron needs it."

"Yes, right now. Have her get it."

Fury hung up the phone, unwilling in his heart, but his body was forced to pour Aaron a glass of water, plain boiled water. He had specifically kept it in his office, prepared for Aaron.

"Mr. Aaron, the item should arrive in about twenty minutes. Please have some water." Fury forced a smile, his heart bleeding.

Aaron ignored Fury's reluctant demeanor and drank the water at his own pace.

The reason he didn't go to the Project Pegasus headquarters himself was to see Fury's unwilling but compelled expression as he personally delivered it.

Who told Fury to be so scheming and dishonest?

Although Fury no longer harbored thoughts about Aaron Industries, he still hadn't forgotten to secretly accumulate strength, preparing for war with Aaron as the imagined enemy.

Even though everything he did was in vain, a good knocking was still necessary.

"Mr. Aaron, thank you very much for telling us about Hydra."

Fury was still trying to build rapport, feigning a kind and friendly demeanor.

Since there's no way to resist life, just lie down and enjoy it, let nature take its course.

Aaron's interest was piqued. "It seems your situation is quite good?"

He had told Fury about Hydra, but hadn't had time to learn about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s current situation.

Logically, Fury and Pierce should be fighting fiercely.

But now, Fury actually dared to sit casually in the Triskelion Building, looking relaxed and self-satisfied, like a victor.

This was much stronger than the Fury of the original timeline.

Speaking of which, Fury smiled confidently. "This is all thanks to you, for allowing me to make more thorough preparations."

"Mere Hydra has now been forced to withdraw from S.H.I.E.L.D.. At least in several important bases, they have been completely expelled."

"We are racing against time to deal with Hydra in the branch bases. It won't be long before Hydra becomes history."

Fury was very pleased with himself, it was all thanks to his clever mind. If it were anyone else, facing such a mess, there would be no chance of winning.

Knock! Knock!

Fury frowned. "Come in."

A petite woman with long blonde hair walked in from outside the door.

Seeing her, Fury's expression changed slightly. "G'iah, what are you doing here?"

G'iah looked directly at Aaron. "Director, this is our recent combat achievement."

She handed him a document.

Fury didn't even look at it, staring bitterly at G'iah, thinking, 'Damn it!'

The moment Aaron saw G'iah, he guessed Fury's scheme.

Fury actually used the Skrulls to deal with Hydra?

That's truly amazing!

Aaron sensed the Triskelion Building.

In a building of thousands, over sixty percent were Skrulls in disguise.

There were no Hydra members at all.

What did this mean?

These replaced people were all Hydra.

No wonder Fury looked so confident and seemingly unconcerned by the Hydra threat.
