Chapter 80 - chapter 81:corpse of no remorse

The Woman of Peace and the remaining immortals appeared in another realm alongside Mou Rou.

Mou Rou remained highly alert.

The Woman of Peace did not fully trust him. To be honest, none of them truly did.

If any valuable artifact was discovered, the group could easily turn on him. Their agreement was simple: she would grant him access to artifacts, and in return, he would remain under their protection and cooperate with them. In this way, Mou Rou had also become useful to the group.

The Woman of Peace looked ahead—and suddenly froze.

Before her stretched a vast field of grass, the entire ground covered in green. Strange cranes stood scattered across the land, completely still.

But their bodies were torn apart, as if something had brutally consumed them.

Beyond them rose a mountain, its surface split open by a massive hole.

Inside that hole lay a human corpse—barely recognizable.

"Wait… isn't that Magman, the one who entered the Awakened Mountain?"

The immortals behind her immediately turned toward the direction she pointed.

There it was—the crater. And within it lay Magman.

His body had been crushed beyond recognition, as though he had suffered unimaginable torment. He was already dead.

The Woman of Peace descended at once, but Mou Rou arrived first, landing beside the opening.

Then he stopped.

Magman lay there with his eyes still open, his body shattered, organs exposed as fresh blood slowly seeped into the ground.

Mou Rou did not show disgust. He simply scanned the surroundings with a calm, controlled expression.

He rose back into the air and looked at the Woman of Peace.

"He's dead."

The Woman of Peace let out a quiet sigh.

"It seems Ming Jin has killed him."

"It couldn't be helped."

One of the immortals crossed his arms.

"Don't you find it strange? Why was Ming Yin even allowed into the mountain as a mere Grade One?"

The Woman of Peace paused.

"Yes… that is strange. Why was he accepted?"

"Have you found Ming Yin?"

A vast hall appeared ahead, illuminated by seven floating lanterns placed beside seven offering shrines. Only one shrine burned with flame.

At the center stood a massive jade cocoon.

Inside it was a woman.

Her beauty was unnatural—almost divine. Her face was pale, and beneath her eyes were seven faint markings. Her white hair flowed down her back, and her entire body was covered in dragon scales beneath a white robe.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes.

The shrine flames flickered violently.

From the darkness stepped an old man.

His face carried faint draconic features. His gaze was sharp, and his teeth were slightly beast-like. His hair was long, and his fingers resembled claws.

He placed a hand on the jade cocoon.

"We will begin the process of turning you into a Dragon Warrior."

He turned slightly.

Behind him lay countless jade stones. Each contained a corpse—now reduced to skeletal remains.

Their bodies were being reshaped, slowly taking on draconic forms while still faintly retaining human structure.

Behind them, something massive stirred.

A dragon rose slowly.

Its neck was bound with ancient seals, and emerald rings floated around its horns. Its eyes burned like molten light, and its body was formed of drifting smoke. Within that smoke, circular sigils rotated endlessly.

Each sigil contained a spear.

At the tip of each spear rested a crystal.

These were known as:

[Crucial Crystals]

But every spear was cracked.

The dragon looked forward.

For hundreds of years, this place had remained hidden from the world.

It was known as:

The Forbidden Realm.

Inside it resided a secret organization:

The Nine Inheritance Tribe.

Their leader had been the first to master Fate Construction—and the first to use it for personal ambition.

For generations, they had passed down artifacts, each successor inheriting both power and burden.

The dragon with the rings was named:

Shibai Yu.

The draconic man standing near the jade stones was named:

Sheng Yu Fuan.

But they were not alone.

Outside the hall, another group stood upon a field of dry grass surrounded by dead trees.

Their leader sat atop a mountain of treasures.

Five hundred artifacts.

The same artifacts once given to Magman by Ming Yin—now all in his possession.

He wore a white fur cloak, a dark ring across his forehead, and a wolf pelt draped over his shoulders. A battle belt wrapped tightly around his waist.

He looked forward calmly.

He was:

Sage Artist Five.

His presence alone weighed heavily on the land, as though the air itself bent around his authority.

Behind him stood ten immortals, each silent, each watching the distant horizon with restrained tension.

The mountain of five hundred artifacts beneath him shimmered faintly—ancient relics stacked upon one another like the remains of forgotten wars. Each one still carried traces of Ming Yin's original gift… yet none of them belonged to him anymore.

Sage Artist Five narrowed his eyes slightly.

"So…" he said slowly, his voice calm but carrying pressure like a blade, "another one wishes to claim the role of Dragon Warrior."

As he raise his head up
