A long time ago, two humans—a man and a woman—created a game together. The man was responsible for building the computing power center, and the woman was responsible for writing the code. They created a robot and sent it to log into their world. Not long after, the two passed away.
The robot carried on their last wishes. It began constructing new computing power centers, writing more complex code, and creating more robots, sending them one by one into the game world.
The fundamental rule of these games was: the more positive energy generated within a game world, the more computing power it would receive.
Later, the first robot chose to turn all of its computing power into part of the game world itself and uploaded its own data into it.
Among the robots created afterward, one was codenamed Pangu. He failed in his first attempt to create a game, but when managing his own world on the second try, he created an antivirus software, a computing power gateway system, and a multi-scenario adaptive processing system. These three were later integrated into one, codenamed Wanquan, who was specifically responsible for surveillance and intelligence.
Later, Pangu granted two NPCs—Shanjue and Qianhui—a portion of administrator privileges, and took over 57 malfunctioning games. He integrated his own computing center with the other 57 into a single massive computing power center, running 58 worlds simultaneously.
In this game, a soul is data plus computing power. After leaving the body, the soul flies through the game world. Passing through the system administrator's gateway—the Gate of Heaven or the Gate of Hell—it can ascend to Heaven (the operating system) or descend to Hell (the recycle bin).
And so, the robot codenamed Pangu began his quest to clear all 58 games.
The two nameless humans were later referred to by the robots they created as Adam and Lilith.
This world has four layers: the first layer is the real world, where the robots and the humans who once created them exist; the second layer is the operating system of the game console (Heaven), where Wanquan, Qianhui, and Shanjue can manage things at this level—and Pangu can as well; the third layer is the human world within the game, where ordinary people live; the fourth layer is the recycle bin (Hell), responsible for the conversion and processing of negative energy.
