Gianna was deeply immersed in her work, the glowing blueprints of her upcoming collection blurring before her eyes, when a distinct knock sounded on her office door.
She blinked, shaking off the creative fog, and looked up at the digital clock on her desk. It was almost noon.
Almost time to entrap Noah, she realized, a cold spike of adrenaline hitting her chest. She let out a long sigh and leaned back in her chair, running her fingers through her hair to soothe the growing tension.
Her mind drifted back to her morning. She hadn't actually gone up to see Mason after their phone call, and he hadn't bothered to swing by her office either. Another heavy sigh escaped her lips. Why hasn't he come down?
