About 20 years ago, there were no feudal lords in the main villages of the Usuki kingdom. As expected, moral decadence reigned supreme. In the various villages people were brutally murdered by criminals who called themselves the 'dragon claw'. the dragon claw were the most feared group in the Usuki kingdom's ten villages(Shima maki, Ishikari, Kitakuri, Karuta, Coastal territory, Doshi, Himejima, Horaku, Osho and the capital, Akira).In strength, they were second only to the kingdoms main army.
Nevertheless, the king at the time, Sakuragi Hirakima, did nothing about it, as he felt that controlling law and order was not in his jurisdiction except if it threatened the safety of the castle. In fact, he believed that people should rule themselves. Besides, even if they wanted to try and curb the situation, the Usuki warriors at the time were too weak to even battle common criminals save just seven of them. They were the Usuki kingdoms only hope at the time. Their names were Noritoshi Hirashima of the serpent, Mikami Akira of smoke, Jougo Akira of the flames, Hakari Hirashima of the storm, Kotestsu Hirashima of poison and paralysis, Zatsuki of the waves and finally I the Akira prodigy and the one only known as the prince of the ever-blazing sun Nichikatsu Akira.
Together, the seven of us managed to liberate all the colonies from the clutches of 'the dragon claw'. We killed all the high-ranking members of that ruthless group of criminals but unfortunately, we couldn't locate the leader.
Never the less, when we returned to Akira we were celebrated and revered by the people. We were given huge sums of money and good shelter to help us further our training but the king never appreciated the fact that we defeated the dragon claw. In fact, he never knew about this until one his guards told him many weeks later.
