Saphen could sense that Cain was starting to become strange.
In the morning, Saphen remembered that Cain didn't have any early classes, yet he couldn't find Cain anywhere.
If it were usual, Cain would have woken up early and stuck to he all day—when had he ever been this quiet?
Saphen couldn't help but frown slightly. He walked to Cain's door and knocked, saying, "Cain, are you still okay?"
From inside, there seemed to be some kind of chaotic noise. After a moment, the door opened a crack, and Cain's face peeked out. He looked at Saphen and smiled a little. "I'm fine. Do you have class, Saphen? You should go on ahead."
Saphen said softly, "I don't have class." As he spoke, he lifted his hand, wanting to touch Cain's forehead a bit. But Cain seemed as if he were facing some kind of virus—he instantly hurriedly pulled his head back inside.
The two of them faced each other, Saphen's hand still half-raised in midair.
