Chapter 101 - Not a Dream

As soon as Cain heard Saphen say his legs were tired, he hurriedly climbed onto his back. It wasn't until Saphen had carried him all the way out of the hospital that he realized just how stupid he was. No matter how tired Saphen's legs were, how could that compare to carrying him such a long distance?

Cain buried his head against Saphen's shoulder, catching a faint floral scent—not a jumble of mixed fragrances, and not the smell of pain. It was the first time Cain realized that the world outside could actually be this beautiful.

Saphen's home wasn't very far from the hospital, but he still had to walk for a full fifteen minutes. By the time they arrived, his breathing was inevitably a little unsteady.

Cain tightly gripped Saphen's hand, looking at him with worried eyes.

Saphen smiled and waved it off, then led Cain into the cheap apartment complex inside. Just then, they happened to see someone walking out.
