Even though Nayeesha is the only other person left in the room with me, she hasn't looked at me once since Azeria walked out.
She just sits there in silence, staring at nothing in particular with a blank expression on her face.
It feels as if the argument Seraphine and Nayeesha had is still here with us, lingering in the air long after the doors closed behind them.
I watch her for a good moment before I finally break the silence.
"Nayeesha."
She looks at me.
"Why would you say that to Seraphine?" I ask.
"I wasn't wrong," she replies. "I was just trying to make her see my point."
My brows pull together and before I can stop myself, my voice rises.
"I understand what you were trying to do, but couldn't you have at least put it in a better way?"
At that, Nayeesha turns more fully toward me.
