Seraphine was visibly surprised when the soldier came to tell us that her brother had arrived in Darkholme.
And if I am being honest, I was just as shocked.
None of us expected any of the rulers to arrive this soon.
As we make our way through the palace halls now, escorted by soldiers on every side, I can't help but feel a strange kind of anticipation building in my chest.
This will be the first time I am meeting one of the rulers face to face. And being Seraphine's brother and Azræl's maternal uncle means King Seraphim has strong familial ties to House Bloodbourne.
But as I'm quickly learning, blood in this empire guarantees nothing.
So even as curiosity stirs inside me, another thought remains at the forefront of my mind.
