Chapter 214 - Chapter 214: Company Daily Life

The name "Ram" was what Ankh had suggested when Frey asked him what he wanted to name the company.

Since Seram absolutely refused to use his full name for a commercial entity, they simply dropped the "Se" from his name.

"Ram Entertainment Company."

Though it sounded rather casual, the headquarters were anything but.

Thanks to the massive financial support from the young lady of the Cureniar family, the building was luxurious.

The first three floors of the building housed various work areas for staff and newly signed artists.

This included departments with different responsibilities, as well as high-end makeup rooms, rest areas, and soundproof rehearsal spaces—everything one could need to become a star.

The fourth floor was the executive office area, currently occupied by Jude Heartfilia and the many talented managers Frey had poached with high salaries to run the day-to-day operations.

As for the fifth floor...

Sorano comfortably jumped onto the extremely soft and bouncy large bed in one of the suites.

"Ahhh~"

She sighed contentedly, rolling over the duvet.

"What an amazing company! The boss actually has a dedicated bedroom floor. This is heaven compared to a cave."

Sawyer nimbly opened the bathroom door of another room.

He inspected the tub and the golden faucets.

"Even the bathroom facilities are so complete! Hot water on demand!" he exclaimed in amazement.

Erik and Jellal stood in the hallway, looking at Ankh with somewhat strange expressions.

They were used to hardship; this level of luxury felt almost like a trap to them.

Macbeth stood in place near the door, fast asleep and snoring.

He didn't care where he was, as long as he could sleep.

Frey smiled at their reactions. "Since we're not in Magnolia, it would be inconvenient for you to travel back and forth or stay in hotels where you might be recognized. So, we simply converted the entire fifth floor into your private area."

"Don't worry," Frey added, gesturing around. "Though it's a bit small compared to a mansion, it includes a master office, a private training room, a magical workshop, and six guest rooms. Even if you and your teammates can't go back to Fairy Tail or the outside world yet, you can stay here without any problem."

Standing on the bright and spacious balcony overlooking the resort city, Ankh felt somewhat complicated.

"You've really thought of everything, Frey."

'Well,' Ankh thought, 'although I'm not quite accustomed to this wealthy lifestyle, it does solve the accommodation problem for Erik and the others immediately.'

After a while, Frey reported to Ankh about the company's recent work.

She briefly explained how she had managed to transform the "rundown" shell into this powerhouse in such a short time.

There wasn't really much to say—it was mainly because her family learned that Frey had gained control of troops in the Council and began taking this company seriously again.

They poured massive amounts of money into it to curry favor.

As Frey listed off terms like "resource allocation," "talent acquisition," and "market development strategies," Ankh's eyes glazed over.

He didn't understand a word of it...

'But it didn't matter,' Ankh decided internally.

'With capable people like Frey and Jude around, I just need to focus on the big picture and let others handle the rest!'

After conversing for a long time, Frey noticed that Ankh needed to arrange matters for the people he brought, so she tactfully took her leave to let them settle in.

Seeing Frey leave, Ankh called the five (Jellal, Erik, Sawyer, Sorano, Macbeth) to the conference room on the fifth floor and began explaining his plans for their safety.

"Wear these from now on and use your real names when go outside."

Ankh performed his signature move, magically producing five silver necklaces from his pocket as if by sleight of hand.

Erik took a necklace and put it on.

He looked down, then at his hands and he noticed no physical changes.

He asked curiously, "What does this do?"

"The necklace has a Cognitive Modification Effect on facial recognition," Ankh explained. "As long as you wear it, no one will be able to recognize you as the wanted criminals of Oración Seis, as long as your words and actions don't connect you to your past crimes."

Sawyer was startled.

He immediately looked at Sorano, who had already put on her necklace.

"It's true!" Sawyer exclaimed. "Even though her appearance hasn't changed she feels like a complete stranger! I can't connect her face to 'Angel' in my mind."

Sorano examined her companions and marveled, "How amazing..."

"It's not that mysterious," Ankh said, having clearly mastered the creation of such small devices using his enchantment skills.

"You know about charm magic rings, right? The principle is similar to that. As long as the disguise isn't 'understood' or seen through by powerful sensory magic, it's a perfect camouflage."

"So, in the future, Jellal can use a fake name when going out and you four can use your real names that no one else knows. Just make sure you aren't recognized by your magic signatures."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Then they discussed matters related to the Dark Guilds for a while.

Although Oración Seis had been crushed, the many Dark Guilds under its banner had not disbanded.

Jellal felt it necessary to purge them completely first to prevent a power vacuum or revenge seekers.

Ankh, of course, had no objections.

But before that, they needed to take a temporary break.

After days of sleeping in caves, traveling by ship, and experiencing so many earth-shattering events at Nirvana, even an iron man would struggle to endure such turbulence.

By evening, the group had settled into their assigned rooms.

Exhausted, they quickly fell asleep.

Only Ankh, lying in his own master bedroom on a large bed, tossed and turned.

He was unable to sleep.

Having stayed up late too often during the mission, he simply didn't feel tired yet...

After squinting at the ceiling for a long time without falling asleep, Ankh simply got up.

He headed toward the Training Room located next to his bedroom.

Back at Nirvana, Ankh had asked Seram to teach him Archive Magic.

Although it hadn't been useful in the urgent situation at the time, now was a good opportunity to experiment with it.

The spacious training room had thick, soundproof walls reinforced with magic.

Ankh stood in the center.

"Archive."

A silver Archive screen floated beside him, filled with data streams.

Archive Magic could consult materials, store data, and output data.

Thanks to this function, Hibiki not only gave his teammates a bird's-eye view on the battlefield but also managed to make Lucy learn the Super Magic "Urano Metria" in an instant by downloading the data into her mind.

Ankh felt that this magic, capable of storing magical data and retrieving it at any time, would be very helpful for his experiments with Life God Power.

"Let's try the upload," Ankh muttered.

Ankh input the acquired life sequences into the Archive.

Hummmm.

The constant, relentless drain on his Divine Power immediately ceased.

Until now, whenever Ankh wanted to use the power of other life forms, he had to rely on mediums like Lacrima or keep the spell active, which drained him.

Because he couldn't permanently integrate powers like Dragon Force into his own body yet without risks, he had to continuously expend his Divine Power to sustain the mimicry.

But now...

Ankh expanded the Archive screen beside him.

He scrolled through the files and lightly tapped on one of the options.

[File: Fire Dragon Slayer]

"Download."

Boom!

Red Dragon Scales instantly covered Ankh's right hand, and fierce flames erupted forth.

"Excellent."

Pleased with the result, Ankh tapped a few more times on the screen.

[File: Iron Dragon]

[File: Sky Dragon]

[File: Satan Soul]

[File: Beast Soul]

Subsequently, the Dragon Force of the Iron Dragon and Sky Dragon, the demonic power of Mirajane, the beast power of Elfman...

All the life data Ankh had previously collected could now be switched on and off seamlessly on his body, without any delay.

Like a game cheat tool, Ankh could freely use these abilities without any preparatory actions or maintaining a constant drain.

Withdrawing all the powers with a wave of his hand, Ankh exclaimed in delight.

"This way, with a place to store data, I can collect information on various creatures on a much larger scale. It won't drain me, and I won't have to go through the trouble of making Magic Crystals every time. Perfect..."

It could be said that until Ankh's ideal Divine Body was completed, Archive Magic would serve as his massive magical cloud storage, capable of holding a considerable amount of material.

Ankh sat down on the training floor, looking at the screens.

"Well, next... there's also what Sorano asked me to do..."

Thinking of this, Ankh suddenly felt somewhat troubled.

She wanted "Angelic Magic."

A magic as magnificent as an angel's... but Ankh, the perfectionist, wasn't particularly fond of flashy yet impractical things.

The spell's potency had to be guaranteed.

It needed to be beautiful and deadly!

Ankh had also tried asking Seram about this, only to receive the answer—nothing!

To be precise, most of the magic Seram knew involved taboos, dark arts, or extreme difficulty, making it unsuitable for Sorano to use if she wanted to stay in the light.

"I'll have to develop it myself," Ankh mused.

Besides Sorano, the magic of Erik and Sawyer also had their own flaws, with significant room for improvement in their potential.

'Looks like I have a lot of work to do as the Boss,' Ankh thought, pulling up a blank Archive page to start calculating.
