"What is that?"
Sometime earlier, the gloomy sky had completely stopped raining.
The residents of Magnolia peered through their windows at the massive pillar of light shooting into the sky.
They could not help but complain to themselves.
'That direction… seems to be the Fairy Tail guild, doesn't it?'
'What are those people up to now, making such a huge mess again?'
Fortunately, it was already dusk with cloudy skies.
Even though such a terrifying sight had appeared in the sky, very few people were willing to step outside to see what the trouble-making guild was doing.
If anyone had come out to look, they would have discovered something shocking... the guild, a famous landmark in the heart of Magnolia, had vanished completely, including its foundation!
...
The Fairy Tail guild shook violently as the entire building trembled.
Everyone inside was prepared.
They each grabbed onto something to steady themselves, and soon the shaking stopped.
Makarov pulled his hands back from maintaining the Three Pillar Gods defensive formation.
Breathing heavily, he said, "Magic that crosses dimensions… Defending against this kind of Magic is truly exhausting."
Ankh, Gildarts, and the other S-Class Mages slowly pulled back their Magic Power.
Seeing Makarov's exhaustion, Laxus quickly stepped forward to hold the Guild Master up.
"If you are this weak, you should have let me handle it earlier, old man," Laxus said.
His words were tough, but he supported Makarov gently.
Makarov had no energy to argue with his grandson.
He quickly sat cross-legged on the counter to recover.
Ankh flexed his wrists a few times, feeling the amount of Magic Power he had used up.
He breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
They had finally succeeded.
Anima's teleportation target was meant to transfer a specific amount of Magic Power within a certain range.
The multiple Magic Formulas had tricked the range, while the S-Class Mages had made up for the citizens' lack of Magic Power.
This successfully tricked the Super Magic's tracking system.
In theory, it should have been flawless.
But since this was their first attempt, Ankh was afraid they might have missed something.
He quickly called out to everyone in the guild, "Is everyone alright? Check to make sure no one is missing!"
The guild was crowded with people.
After a bit of noise and checking, Ankh was relieved to learn that no members were injured or missing.
Gildarts, who was shielding Cana, looked seriously out the window and could not help but grin.
"This other world looks much more appealing than I imagined."
Hearing his words, a highly curious group of members crowded around the window.
Ankh stood on the second floor, looking outside.
This world's environment and geography were almost entirely different from Earthland.
Looking down, the vast plains below were lush and green.
Raising his eyes revealed a bright blue sky—neither of which looked very different from Earthland.
But strangely enough, many islands floated in mid-air! Each one featured sharp, towering mountain peaks.
The plant life on these islands was thick and wild. There were giant mushrooms, strange corals growing right on the ground, and unusually massive trees.
Most of the plants were dark colors, like purple, making the islands look like they were covered in violet veils from a distance.
None of these species existed in Earthland.
Rivers acted like waterfalls, crashing from the floating islands toward the land below. Floating streams of white clouds connected the islands, and strange fish leaped and splashed in these sky-currents.
Also, instead of one sun, multiple "suns" hung in the sky at different distances. Some were so close they looked enormous, while others were so far away they were just tiny specks.
Despite the multiple suns, the world's brightness and temperature felt exactly the same as Earthland, likely because these suns were much dimmer.
"Wow—it is so beautiful here!!" Lucy gazed at this scenery that was completely different from Earthland.
She felt her writer's soul fill with excitement.
She wanted to go outside and take hundreds of photos to use as material for her novels.
Erza seemed equally delighted.
She put her hands on her hips as she cheerfully admired the view. "Indeed, it has a unique charm."
Mirajane, who loved the color purple, could not help but hold her face and murmur softly at the sight of the mystical island plants.
"Those flowers and plants are lovely too—there is nothing like them in Fiore's royal capital."
Juvia kept her usual blank expression, while Levy looked on with excitement, eager to explore books from another world.
The younger girls, Wendy and Lisanna, excitedly pressed against the window to peek outside, though Carla looked restless and uneasy.
While the girls were fascinated by the beauty of the other world, the boys mostly pointed at the wild beasts on the islands, shouting loudly and focusing on weird topics.
"Hey... do you think the people of Edolas pee off these floating islands onto the ground below?"
"...If you have such weird thoughts, just do it yourself. Why guess what the locals do?"
"How do we get to those far-off islands?"
"Idiot exhibitionist, just jump across!"
"Tch! If you can jump that far, I will be impressed!"
"Whoa? Are you underestimating me?"
...
Right now, the guild was sitting on a small island with limited space, but that did not stop the members' endless curiosity.
Natsu eagerly got ready to leap between the islands, with Happy following along in high spirits.
However, the duo was quickly stopped by Erza, who delivered two solid punches to their heads to keep them in line.
"Still, once things are settled, it might be nice to have a guild trip here," Gildarts remarked lightly. Ankh neither agreed nor disagreed.
Laxus then turned to Mystogan and asked, "What is our next move? Do we attack the kingdom directly?"
Mystogan shook his head.
He glanced at Makarov, who was still recovering the massive amount of Magic Power he had used during the trip between worlds.
Mystogan replied, "The Master is not in good condition. After all, the kingdom possesses the magical power of an entire nation. Plus, we have not adapted to this place yet—fighting on unfamiliar ground puts us at a disadvantage. For now, we should stabilize the situation."
"Uh-oh... looks like stabilizing is off the table." Ankh, who had been keeping a constant watch out the window, suddenly spoke up.
"We have guests arriving."
Outside the window, dozens of beautifully crafted airships could be seen slowly approaching the guild.
Flying next to the airships were numerous monsters with enormous wings.
Each monster carried a warrior wearing heavy armor, a helmet, and carrying weapons.
Judging just from the airships, this world's magical technology seemed very advanced.
Inside one of the airships, two people were watching Fairy Tail through the front windshield.
A muscular, cat-like man with dark fur and white facial markings—looking like a giant, mutated feline—spoke with a cold expression.
"What happened? This time, the crucial Anima plan failed completely. The location landed far away from the royal capital, and those otherworlders did not even turn into Magic Crystals!"
"What does it matter?"
A voice that was both strict and coldly elegant rang out.
From the shadows behind the airship came the faint clinking of armor, followed by the appearance of a familiar crimson silhouette stepping into view.
The cold beauty stared closely at the familiar emblem on the front of the guild building.
Smiling faintly, she said, "We will just capture them and bring them back to the royal capital. They can become Magic Crystals there."
In this alternate world, this woman perfectly mirrored the appearance and power of Earthland's female mage.
"After all, they are fairies too. They are just as huntable!"
