It was nighttime. The sun had hidden behind the mountains, bringing a calm tranquility to the war-torn land.
"Greetings, General Li."
Li Chang was sharpening his sword when Commander Ping entered the command tent with an edict from the palace.
When the General saw Ping Liangwen, he immediately stood up, abandoning what he was doing and walking toward him.
"You have finally returned." He took the edict from Commander Ping's hand and unfolded it, reading its contents.
Commander Ping silently sat to the side. He was truly exhausted from the long journey. The constant travel had left him unable to get proper rest.
After Li Chang closed the edict, Ping Liangwen asked curiously, "What is His Highness's order?"
"What else could it be?" The General smiled lightly. He gently placed the edict on the desk and said, "Send notice to the Hang Emperor. There will be no peace talks between the nations."
