The sun hadn't even risen yet, but Chang opened his eyes abruptly. His chest heaved up and down, the veins around his pupils turning blood-red. His whole body was drenched in sweat.
The murderous intent in his golden eyes seeped out uncontrollably. If anyone were to see him in this state, they would be frightened silly.
Unaware of everything, Fang was sleeping peacefully not far away. His breathing was even, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
Chang's attention was drawn by that soft breathing. He slowly turned his head, only to see the very person who had caused his tribe's extinction sleeping so carefreely right under his nose.
Stepping closer, the beast within Chang seemed to have found an outlet. He extended his hand and tightly clenched the fragile neck.
Should I kill him?
No… he couldn't die this easily.
