"Is the consort having her period?" One of the guests whispers loud enough for everyone to hear but not loud enough to be disrespectful.
Elara looks down at her dress with her head slightly shifted, from this point of view, it does look like blood.
Everyone and the king were waiting for an explanation from Elara but she just kept on looking at the pool of wine.
If it really was period blood, wouldn't it be more crimson red than light red? She wondered.
The blood would look lumpy and blotched also. Shrugging, she sighs looking up before realising that everyone is waiting for her input.
The king wanted to instruct all of the guests and his councillors to go out .
It didn't quite sit well with him, people dissecting her like she was an object.
