The road to Thalorien did not look like a road to war. It looked like a road to temptation.
After days of riding through the rough lands of Sereveth, where even children carried blades and every greeting felt like a challenge, the southern kingdom of Thalorien looked almost unreal.
The floor was marble and clear that you could see you figure. The air was a sweet yet unmistakably dangerous scent.
And the guards, dressed in golden armour none of them reaching for their swords hilt as if already knowing that they would not attack.
"I already don't like it here" Charles whispered near Kaelis as he adjusted his riding cloak
"That means it's working" general Raven commented as he also gazed around.
There was no weaponed drawn, no hint of danger or even fear in their eyes and yet this kingdom seems even more dangerous than Sereveth
At least for Sereveth, they did not hide their intentions nor do they hide their strengths
