Chapter 175 - A Blessing from the Heavens, Back on Track

The Dawn Knight's clear stance on the side of the Mutants made many people uneasy. They knew that the one he fought to the death with in Paris was none other than the leader of the Mutants. According to these reporters, even if the Dawn Knight wouldn't deliberately target the Mutant group, he wouldn't have a good attitude towards them either.

But the reality was completely opposite of what they thought. Not only did the Dawn Knight not target the Mutants, but he also vouched for them with his own reputation. This situation immediately made some reporters think that superheroes thought completely differently from others.

The reporter who got his answer had just sat down when Stacy pointed to another reporter who had raised his hand, signaling that he could ask a question.

The reporter she pointed to immediately stood up excitedly and asked the Dawn Knight loudly.

"Dawn Knight, I am French. I want to ask you, you once fought a fierce battle with the Mutants in Paris, and you know the kind of harm they caused. Why are you changing your stance now?"

It was obvious that this was a human who opposed the Mutants. He clearly expressed his disapproval of the Dawn Knight's actions, and to make the Dawn Knight reflect, he even brought up Magneto, his former enemy.

Zhou Yi stepped forward, placing his hands on both sides of the small table on the podium, and said to the people below him, looking down at them.

"My position has never changed. From the beginning to the end, I've always stood on the side of humanity and peace. As for Magneto, I admit he's a bastard. But you can't use him to represent all Mutants. Just like Hitler, he was once a leader among humans, but can you say he represents all of humanity?"

"That's different, sir," the French reporter shouted, his face flushed.

"There's no difference. In my eyes, I see no difference between them except for their race. Magneto's cry to build a new world is nothing more than a twisted interpretation of Hitler's Nazism. And just as Hitler will be eliminated by humans, so too will Magneto be eliminated by Mutants. A group can never be represented by one or two individuals; that's the most foolish thing to do."

"My opposition to Magneto is because he destroys the peace of this world, treating precious lives as lowly as ants, not because of his Mutant identity. Mutants are definitely not evil, just as humans are not necessarily absolutely just. The Umbrella incident has just ended; I think you shouldn't have forgotten those deeply sinful guys, right?"

Seeing that the French reporter was about to argue further, and fearing the situation would get out of hand, Stacy immediately shouted.

"That's enough! Next question!"

Watching the French reporter being dragged away by his eager colleagues, Stacy finally breathed a sigh of relief. He looked around, searching for a reporter who could ask a decent question. If it continued like that, this press conference would really turn into a battlefield of arguments.

At this moment, he happened to see a young man at the corner of the venue, holding a large pile of equipment, raising his hand and standing there alone. He didn't seem like he'd be too difficult to deal with. So, he pointed and said.

"The young man in the corner, yes, you. You can ask your question now?"

"Me?" The young man pointed at himself. After Stacy nodded, he jumped up, nearly knocking over the chair behind him.

His clumsy action drew curses from the surrounding reporters, mostly because they envied his luck. However, Stacy and the others had a good impression of this young man. Accustomed to the ugly faces of the seasoned reporters, they found this fledgling reporter more pleasing to the eye.

Zhou Yi even joked, using the identity of the Dawn Knight.

"Take it easy, kid. I'm right here, I won't run away."

The young man blushed, but at least he hadn't forgotten what he should do. He quickly took out a notepad and stammered to Zhou Yi.

"Hello, Dawn Knight. I'm Peter Parker from the Daily Bugle. I want to ask you, do you really think these hired Mutants can achieve the effects you mentioned?"

"That's a good question, I think Director Stacy must have seen these young people. Director, I believe these young people should be present!"

"Yes, I'm ready to introduce these excellent young people to everyone at any time!" Stacy instructed, and Rogue and the others walked in, led by a group of police officers.

They had changed into police uniforms at this point. Because high-level Mutants are themselves a visually outstanding race, these young people looked heroic and full of spirit. This gave those who thought Mutants were all misshapen humans an immediate first impression.

Even many of the reporters present had to admit that these young people looked pleasing to the eye, completely different from what they had imagined.

"Everyone needs to get to know these young people; they will definitely contribute to this city in the future. As for why I say this, it's because I have confidence in them."

"Just like me, having ability is the first point. Willingness to serve others and treating one's own power as a responsibility is the second point. That's how I embarked on the path of a superhero, and these young people standing here now show that they have made the same choice as me."

"Back then, I started on this path with the help of Director Stacy. It can be said that at the beginning of becoming a hero, Director Stacy gave me a lot of help. He blocked a lot of trouble for me. And now, it's my turn to pave the way for these young people."

"I believe that as long as we give them some time, some patience, they will definitely achieve something. As long as we don't demand too much of them, they might be able to give you a satisfactory answer."

Speaking of which, Zhou Yi pointed at Peter Parker. He had already recognized this young man who had once thrown a punch at him for his uncle. Of course, he also knew that this was an extraordinary young man.

"If this isn't enough to convince everyone, I'd like to ask this young reporter for a favor. You can join these young people as a journalist and report on their every mission. Let the public witness firsthand whether these young people can improve the city's security."

"What? Me? But I'm just a temp." A huge surprise landed on Peter's face, making him dizzy. This was an exclusive interview opportunity, something Peter had never even dreamed of. Now, it was like a pie falling from the sky, directly smacking him in the face.

"Of course, it's you, young man. You're all young people. Since we're giving them a chance, we naturally have to give you a chance too. I believe that as long as you report truthfully, your job will definitely not be a problem."

The one who spoke these words was Raven, who was playing the role of Zhou Yi. She was speaking as Zhou Yi now, and her words were naturally weighty and carried considerable authority.

When a major figure in the business world spoke, it basically confirmed Peter Parker's exclusive interview rights. He was, after all, an investor in this activity, and an exclusive interview right was just a matter of a word from him. So when he said this, the other reporters' eyes were green with envy as they looked at Peter Parker.

Peter also knew he had become the target of everyone's attention, but only a fool would turn down such a good thing. As long as he held this exclusive interview right, not only would he get a permanent position, but switching to a major newspaper wouldn't be a problem either.

Seeing this silly boy sitting back down with a silly grin, unmoved by the surrounding people's sarcastic remarks, Zhou Yi smiled and said.

"Now it's these young people's time. Apologies, everyone."

After saying this, Zhou Yi immediately vanished without a trace. He knew that if he stayed, the media would focus all their attention on him. This wasn't part of his original plan. He wanted to promote Rogue and the others and provide them with publicity and protection. Now that he had achieved his goals, it was time to step back. So, he left very decisively.

His departure immediately caused a huge stir among the reporters. All the reporters frantically clicked their cameras, seemingly trying to capture a glimpse of the Dawn Knight, but the holographic camouflage of the nanite armor foiled their plans.

Unable to do so, they turned their attention to the young Mutants. They were now the media's new darlings. They had the police department paving the way in terms of policy and the Corona Group sponsoring them financially. They were also protected by Zhou Yi and the Dawn Knight, two well-known figures. In short, few people would dare to target them in the short term.

And once they achieved results, this special department would only become more stable. The media wasn't stupid; they naturally knew what was best to do at this moment.

So, in an instant, almost every Mutant student was swarmed with microphones. This was no longer a formal part of the press conference, and Stacy was happy to see this situation. For him, the more these youngsters were valued, the better it was for him. They were in a relationship where they shared both glory and disgrace. So, he naturally wouldn't stop what was happening.

Raven seized the opportunity to leave the scene and quietly walked to a secluded place, speaking to the air.

"This is your plan? Do you really think that just relying on this can make Mutants and humans live in harmony? Aren't you being a bit too simplistic?"

As she spoke, Raven transformed back into her beautiful form with snow-white skin. The real Zhou Yi appeared before her, quickly shedding the Dawn Knight's outer shell.

"It's more promising than the mess you've made over the years. Look at how much you and Erik have stirred up in this world, and now all you have is a reputation as public enemy number one," Zhou Yi said bluntly, and Raven immediately retorted.

"We have the support of the Mutants; the Mutants are on our side."

"That was before!" Zhou Yi cut her off, sneering.

"Once my plan continues, more and more humans will accept Mutants. At that time, do you think there will be more Mutants following you in your anti-humanity stance, or more wanting to rejoin humanity?"
