Julian, who was still standing a few feet away with his arms crossed, watched as a look of deep, serious contemplation settled over her face. He knew that look. It was the look she gave a map right before she ordered a military strike.
"Elara," Julian asked slowly, his brow furrowing. "What the heck are you thinking right now?"
Elara looked at him calmly. She decided the best approach was direct transparency.
"Well," Elara said, her voice dropping into a serious, level tone. "Are you incapable of... you know?"
Julian stared at her. The silence in the room was so thick it could have been cut with a sword.
