Chapter 731 - The Brother Who Came for Revenge

The Empire had just returned to its usual chaos.

Ignisia and Wukong were mid-spar again.

Cosmyra had given up on repairing anything in real time.

Lyra was cheering like it was a festival.

Seraphina had entered calm acceptance mode.

Umbryssia was quietly monitoring dimensional integrity.

Kael Veyris sat as always unmoved, observing. Then

the air stopped agreeing with itself.

Not torn.

Not broken.

Just… refusing to continue normally.

A second tear opened.

Bigger.

Heavier.

Angrier.

Something stepped through.

This presence was different.

Not just hostile.

But vengeful.

A being armored in fractured abyss-metal.

Its aura carried the weight of a thousand collapsed realms.

Its gaze locked instantly on Kael.

You.

Its voice shook reality slightly.

…You killed my brother.

Silence hit the battlefield.

Even Wukong stopped spinning his staff.

Ignisia lowered her spear slightly.

Kael looked up.

Calm.

Unbothered.

…He attacked.

The being's aura exploded outward.

I will erase you from all continuity. Ignisia exhaled.

…Another one?

She twirled her spear.

Do they breed like this or something?

Wukong leaned aside.

I was wondering the same thing.

Umbryssia's void stirred slightly.

This one is more structured.

Seraphina sighed softly.

Please don't break the entire continent. Kael stood.

Slowly.

Not because of threat.

But because the moment had reached conclusion.

He looked at the intruder.

You seek revenge for something that was already finished.

The being snarled.

…I seek justice.

Kael answered simply:

There is none here for you.

The being moved first.

It didn't travel.

It arrived.

A strike aimed directly at Kael's existence layer.

Ignisia moved to intercept

But Wukong raised a hand.

…Wait.

He grinned.

…Let him try.

The attack hit Kael

And stopped.

Not blocked.

Not absorbed.

Not resisted.

Just… meaningless.

Kael didn't even flinch. The being froze.

…Impossible…

Its arm trembled.

…You should be gone.

Kael tilted his head slightly.

…Based on what assumption?

The being roared.

I am vengeance given form!"

Kael replied calmly:

Then you are misplaced here. Kael raised one hand slightly.

Not fully.

Not dramatically.

Just enough.

…Return.

A single word.

Not even an ability name.

Just command.

The being staggered.

Its form began collapsing inward.

Not violently.

But as if its purpose had suddenly become invalid.

It tried to resist.

Its rage surged.

Its power expanded.

But none of it had permission to continue.

And so

it stopped existing in a meaningful way.Silence returned again.

Wukong scratched his head.

Okay, that one was faster.

Ignisia sighed.

At least the last one said something different.

Seraphina added softly:

They're becoming more emotionally committed.

Umbryssia:

…Still ineffective.

Cosmyra:

…Still requiring no repair adjustments. Kael turned slightly.

…This pattern will continue.

Wukong grinned.

…Good.

…That means I get more fights.

Ignisia smirked.

…And I get more spear practice.

Kael looked toward the repaired tear in space.

…If more come.

A pause.

…Let them arrive.

The Empire resumed its chaotic peace.

Training continued.

Laughing returned.

Reality stabilized itself again.

And somewhere far beyond

new forces were already preparing.

Not knowing yet

that they were walking toward something that did not consider itself a battlefield.

It considered itself home.
