Chapter 907 - When the Palace Finally Grew Quiet

The laughter slowly faded.

The warmth of the chamber lingered.

The stars outside the palace still shimmered like living diamonds suspended in endless creation.

For hours…

The Eternal Chamber had been filled with life.

Voices.

Love.

Chaos.

Family.

But eventually…

Even eternity required rest.

One by one…

Kael's wives began leaving.

Returning to their own chambers scattered throughout the Imperial Palace.

Entire wings of the palace had been built for them.

Not because Kael needed space.

But because housing beings capable of accidentally destroying dimensions…

Required precautions.

Ignisia stood first.

Her long black dress still catching reflections from nearby galaxies.

She walked toward Kael slowly.

Stopping directly in front of him.

Golden eyes softer now.

No fire.

No teasing.

Only warmth.

She gently reached upward.

Straightening the collar of his coat.

"You need sleep."

Kael smiled.

"I hear that often."

Ignisia leaned forward.

Pressing a slow kiss against his lips.

Longer than before.

Deliberate.

Affectionate.

Possessive.

When she finally pulled away…

She smirked.

"Don't stay awake reading cosmic disasters again."

"…No promises."

She narrowed her eyes.

"That was the wrong answer."

Kael laughed quietly.

Without another word…

Flames wrapped around her body.

She vanished.

Returning to her chamber.

Lilith was next.

The Demon Queen walked toward him with that familiar dangerous elegance.

Every step deliberate.

Confident.

Like she owned reality itself.

Which…

Considering her status…

Was arguable.

She stopped inches away.

One hand tracing slowly across Kael's chest.

"You allow too many people to interrupt us."

She whispered.

"I noticed."

Lilith smiled.

Eyes gleaming crimson.

"Tomorrow night…"

"Yes?"

"You are mine."

Kael raised an eyebrow.

"Demanding."

Lilith leaned forward.

Soft lips brushing against his ear.

"I know."

Then without warning

She kissed him deeply.

Slow.

Confident.

Leaving absolutely no room for debate.

Far behind them

Wukong covered Veyloria's eyes.

"Child."

"We are not watching this."

Veyloria blinked.

"Why?"

"Because adulthood is terrifying."

Lilith pulled away smiling.

Satisfied.

Then disappeared into shadows.

Nyx remained.

As always.

Silent.

Still standing beside Kael.

Watching the stars.

Several long moments passed.

No words.

Then quietly…

She stepped closer.

Kael turned toward her.

Nyx gently placed both hands against his chest.

Looking upward.

Dark silver eyes reflecting entire galaxies.

"…Stay alive forever."

She whispered.

Kael smiled softly.

"I intend to."

Nyx shook her head once.

"…No."

"…I mean beside me."

For perhaps the first time all night…

Kael looked genuinely moved.

He reached upward.

Brushing a strand of silver-black hair from her face.

"I will."

Nyx closed her eyes.

Leaning into his touch.

Then softly

She kissed him.

Gentle.

Tender.

Quiet.

Different from Ignisia's fire.

Different from Lilith's passion.

It felt like stillness.

Like moonlight.

Like peace itself had taken form.

When she pulled away…

She rested her forehead against his.

"…Good."

Darkness swallowed her.

She vanished.

Returning to her own chamber.

Then

One by one…

The others began leaving.

Eldara Verdelia returned to the Celestial Gardens.

Ashvattha Aeon disappeared into the Great World Roots.

Luxryth Solaris ascended toward the Solar Chambers.

Zeraphiel Ashenback returned to the Warrior Sanctum.

Umbryssia Void Black Dragon Empress vanished through a draconic void gate.

Sanguinara Dracoryx returned to the Crimson Dragon Vault.

Morrigan stepped into primordial darkness.

Aetheria disappeared into upper dimensions.

Cosmyra entered the Observatory Hall.

Tsukiyora walked toward the Moon Shrine.

Genesisra returned to the Creation Wing.

Infinitra accidentally moved three seconds ahead of time.

Nullara erased her own footsteps.

Kitsune Reina stole fruit from Wukong before leaving.

Soon…

The chamber became quiet.

Finally.

Kael exhaled.

"Peace."

Wukong stretched lazily.

"…I survived."

Veyloria yawned.

"Goodnight Father."

Kael smiled.

Kissing her forehead gently.

"Sleep well."

Wukong carried her away.

Walking toward the royal family quarters.

Then

Silence returned completely.

But Kael's night was not over.

Far below the palace…

Within the massive Imperial Citadel…

Thousands of soldiers remained stationed.

Watching.

Guarding.

Serving.

Kael stepped onto the balcony.

Looked downward.

Then vanished.

A moment later

He appeared within the central military courtyard.

Rows upon rows of armored knights immediately froze.

Then simultaneously

Thousands dropped to one knee.

Armor clanged across the courtyard.

"GLORY TO LORD KAEL."

The sound shook the walls.

Kael stood quietly.

Watching them.

These were not gods.

Not dragons.

Not cosmic entities.

Just ordinary people.

Men and women protecting the Empire.

Giving their lives willingly.

The Captain stepped forward.

Silver armor reflecting torchlight.

"Lord Kael."

Kael nodded.

"At ease."

The knights slowly stood.

Still staring at him with absolute admiration.

One young knight near the front looked nervous.

Young.

Barely old enough to serve.

Kael noticed immediately.

"You seem troubled."

The young knight froze.

"I…"

Kael waited patiently.

"…I apologize Lord."

"For what?"

The young knight hesitated.

"I fear I am weak."

Silence fell across the courtyard.

Every knight listening.

Kael slowly walked toward him.

Stopping directly before him.

"You fear weakness?"

The knight nodded.

"Yes."

Kael smiled faintly.

"Good."

The knight blinked.

Confused.

Kael continued.

"Only fools believe themselves invincible."

"Strength is not the absence of fear."

"Strength…"

"…is moving forward despite fear."

The courtyard became silent.

Thousands listened.

Kael looked across all of them now.

His voice carrying through the entire citadel.

"I have seen infinite wars."

"I have watched civilizations rise and fall."

"I have seen beings powerful enough to erase galaxies."

"But do you know what I respect most?"

Nobody moved.

Kael smiled.

"Ordinary people…"

"…who stand their ground when protecting those they love."

Silence.

Heavy silence.

Then one knight spoke quietly.

"We would gladly die for this Empire."

Kael shook his head immediately.

"No."

The knight blinked.

Kael's voice deepened.

Firm.

Absolute.

"I did not create this Empire…"

"…so you could die for it."

The knights stared.

Kael continued.

"I created this Empire…"

"…so you could live peacefully within it."

The courtyard froze.

No movement.

No sound.

Some knights looked emotional.

Kael turned.

Looking upward toward the palace above.

Toward the lights where his wives rested.

Where his daughter slept peacefully.

Where family waited.

Then quietly

"Protect each other."

"That is enough."

The Captain suddenly knelt again.

This time slower.

With genuine reverence.

"We will never fail you."

Then every knight followed.

Thousands kneeling again.

"WE SWEAR IT."

Kael smiled softly.

The Architect of Existence.

The Origin of Everything.

The Creator of Infinite Cosmologies.

The Being Beyond Reality Itself.

Yet standing here…

Among ordinary soldiers…

He felt something simple.

Something grounding.

Hope.

And far above them…

The Universe Trees swayed.

As if existence itself approved.

Another peaceful night.

No invasions.

No cosmic disasters.

No worlds collapsing.

Just an Emperor checking on the people he cared about.

Exactly how Kael preferred it.
