Chapter 938 - The Chaos Form

Kael Veyris followed Aurelion beyond the borders of the Veyris Eternal Empire.

They walked past universes.

Past multiverses.

Past endless frameworks.

Past countless narrative structures.

Until they reached a place where almost no one had ever stood.

Aurelion stopped.

"We're here."

Kael looked ahead.

The surroundings were silent.

No stars.

No galaxies.

No concepts.

Only an endless darkness.

Then...

Something began to awaken.

A colossal crimson eye slowly opened.

The darkness trembled.

Endless black tendrils stretched across the void.

Each movement distorted countless possibilities.

The enormous eye stared directly at Kael.

Aurelion remained calm.

"Do you recognize it?"

Kael smiled faintly.

"Of course."

"It is one of my Chaos Forms."

The gigantic being continued floating silently.

It was not the Chaos Dragon Form.

It was another manifestation.

A form born from primordial chaos itself.

Its body possessed countless writhing tendrils.

Every tendril carried fragments of forgotten realities.

Its single crimson eye contained storms of chaotic energy.

Around it floated countless smaller eyes that watched every direction.

It had no beginning.

No end.

No true shape.

Only endless chaos.

Aurelion looked toward the colossal entity.

"I found it sleeping."

Kael nodded.

"It has remained here since the earliest ages."

"It has never harmed anyone."

"Because I asked it to sleep."

The enormous eye slowly blinked.

Then...

The countless tendrils slowly moved toward Kael.

Not with hostility.

With recognition.

A deep voice echoed throughout the endless void.

"...Creator..."

Aurelion smiled.

"It remembers."

Kael walked forward.

The gigantic Chaos Form lowered itself before him.

Although its size dwarfed countless universes...

It bowed.

Kael gently placed one hand upon the enormous crimson eye.

Immediately...

The chaotic energy became peaceful.

The tendrils stopped moving wildly.

The surrounding darkness became calm.

Aurelion quietly watched.

"So even chaos listens to you."

Kael answered calmly.

"It isn't obedience."

"It remembers kindness."

The Chaos Form spoke once more.

"...I have waited..."

Kael smiled.

"I know."

"Were you lonely?"

The great eye closed briefly.

"...Yes..."

For countless ages...

The Chaos Form had remained asleep.

Not because it was imprisoned.

But because Kael had entrusted it with guarding the forgotten edge of creation.

Kael looked into its enormous eye.

"You have fulfilled your duty."

"You may rest."

The Chaos Form answered.

"...As long as you still exist..."

"...I will continue watching..."

Aurelion folded his arms.

"It seems even one of your own forms has loyalty to you."

Kael smiled.

"It is part of me."

"It knows my heart."

The gigantic Chaos Form slowly shrank.

Its countless tendrils withdrew.

Its overwhelming aura faded.

The crimson eye gently closed once again.

It returned to its eternal slumber.

Watching.

Waiting.

Protecting the forgotten frontier beyond all known creation.

Aurelion looked at Kael.

"You've never told your family about this form."

Kael shook his head.

"They don't need to know every part of my past."

"They only need to know the man I am today."

Aurelion smiled.

"I think they'd still accept every part of you."

Kael remained silent.

Perhaps...

Aurelion was right.

Together, the two old friends turned and began walking back toward the Veyris Eternal Empire.

Behind them...

The ancient Chaos Form opened its crimson eye one last time.

It watched its Creator disappear into the distance.

Then the endless darkness embraced it once more.

The guardian of primordial chaos returned to its eternal vigil.
