Roxanna truly thought something terrible had happened to Zeir at the Sky Tribe's settlement, but thankfully, the truth was far better than the nightmare she had imagined.
"We found them locked up by those eagles," Luan explained the moment Zeir and the group from the Sky Tribe arrived at the Vixeria Settlement. "That's why Zeir decided to free them when the eagles left to attack this place."
After they realized they couldn't stop the eagle beastmen from attacking the Vixeria Settlement, they finally decided to split up their tasks.
Luan would go to the Vixeria Tribe, while Zeir returned to the Sky Tribe to free the people being held there.
"Carla!" Roxanna hurried toward the ox beastwoman as soon as she saw her.
Carla looked awful. Her body was covered in wounds and bruises, and her eyes looked so empty that Roxanna's chest tightened just looking at her.
"Did they hurt you that badly?" Roxanna asked softly, almost carefully, afraid she might accidentally make Carla feel worse.
