The storm didn't stop.
It answered her.
Lightning tore across the shattered sky of Neo-Virelia, roaring like something awakened from a long, buried rage. The ground trembled beneath unstable energy, cracks glowing with fragments of broken light.
At the center—
Elaris stood.
No… not stood.
She burned.
The crown hovered just above her head now, rotating slowly, pulsing with a violent rhythm—like it had fused with her will.
Her wings—
Half radiant.Half consumed.
Her eyes—
No longer just hers.
Narvrix staggered back, blood spilling from the corner of his lips, his sigils flickering unstable around him.
"This… this isn't power," he hissed, trying to steady himself."This is corruption."
Elaris tilted her head slightly.
Expression empty.
Voice layered.
"Then let it corrupt everything."
💀
She vanished.
A flash—
And Narvrix's body jerked violently as her hand pierced straight through his defensive field, shattering it like glass. The impact sent a shockwave tearing across the battlefield.
He crashed into the ruins, coughing, struggling—
For the first time—
Afraid.
"Veydrin!" he snapped, desperation creeping in."Do something!"
But Veydrin didn't rush.
Didn't panic.
He watched.
Carefully.
Curiously.
Even as blood slid down his arm from a deep wound Elaris had already inflicted earlier.
"…So this is the cost," he murmured.
Elaris walked forward slowly.
Each step cracked the ground beneath her.
"You took everything," she said quietly. Her voice trembled—not with weakness… but with something far more dangerous.
"So I'll take you."
Narvrix forced himself up, rage overtaking fear.
"I made you!" he roared."I shaped every path you walked!"
Elaris stopped.
Looked at him.
And for a split second—
Something human flickered.
Then died.
"Then watch it end."
The air screamed.
Light and darkness twisted together in her hands—unstable, violent, absolute.
Narvrix lunged forward in one final desperate attack—
And she met him.
Head-on.
The collision exploded outward—
A blinding surge.
A deafening crack.
And then—
Silence.
When the light faded—
Narvrix stood frozen.
Eyes wide.
Chest split with a glowing fracture of energy.
"…impossible…" he whispered.
Elaris stood inches away.
Unmoving.
Unforgiving.
"No," she said softly."Just inevitable."
The fracture spread.
His body began to break apart—light tearing through him from within.
And then—
💀 He was gone.
Disintegrated into nothing but fading fragments.
The battlefield fell silent again.
But not for long.
A sharp pulse of void energy snapped through the air.
Elaris turned.
Veydrin stood there—
Injured.
Blood trailing from his side.
One arm barely steady.
But his expression—
Still calm.
Still composed.
"…You exceeded expectations," he said quietly.
Behind him—
A portal tore open.
Dark. Twisting. Alive.
Elaris's aura flared violently.
"You're not leaving."
She moved—
But Veydrin raised his hand, barely in time, blocking her strike as the force sent him sliding back, the ground cracking beneath his feet.
He winced.
For the first time—
Pain visible.
"…Not today," he replied.
A sudden figure moved between them.
Bloomfall.
Elaris's power spiked instantly.
"Move."
Her voice wasn't a warning.
It was a command.
Bloomfall didn't move.
Didn't attack.
Didn't even raise her weapon.
Her eyes—
Locked on Kael's motionless body behind Elaris.
Something inside her broke.
"…I didn't know," she said quietly.
Elaris's expression darkened.
"Didn't know what?"
Bloomfall swallowed.
Voice trembling now.
"That he would get hurt like this…"
💔
For a second—
No one moved.
The storm roared above.
Elaris stepped forward.
Slow.
Dangerous.
"Stay away from him."
Bloomfall flinched.
Not from fear—
From the weight of those words.
She took a small step back.
"…I wasn't trying to take him from you," she said softly.
Behind her—
Veydrin watched.
Silent.
Calculating.
Then—
He stepped back into the portal.
"…Next time," he said, voice echoing,
"I won't underestimate you."
And just like that—
He vanished.
The portal collapsed.
Gone.
The war—
Was over.
Elaris's power flickered violently.
Her body swayed.
The crown dimmed—
Unstable.
Cracking.
The energy around her began to collapse inward.
She dropped to her knees beside Kael.
Her hands shook as she reached for him again.
"No… no, no…"
Her voice broke completely now.
"Stay with me…"
A faint pulse of energy flowed from her into him—
Trying to stabilize—
Trying to hold him together.
But it wasn't enough.
Behind her—
Bloomfall stood at a distance.
Not moving closer.
Not daring to.
Her fists tightened.
Eyes burning.
"He never loved me…" she whispered, barely audible,"…but I still managed to break him."
💔
Elaris didn't respond.
Didn't even look at her.
She only held Kael tighter—
As if letting go would mean losing him forever.
Above them—
The storm began to fade.
Slowly.
Leaving behind nothing but silence…
And the ashes of what remained.
