After more than thirty-three hours of continuous travel, Kiara finally returned to the store.
The journey had been long and exhausting. The vehicle rolled across rough roads and silent plains without pause, its heavy tracks grinding against stone and dirt through the night and the following day. By the time the trip ended, the sky above the Imperial City had already sunk into deep midnight darkness.
The howitzer moved slowly through the quiet streets.
Only a few patrol guards remained awake, walking their routes with torches and spears. Most of the city had already gone to sleep.
The vehicle itself resembled the battle tank Kiara had used before. Its armored body and heavy wheels made it look like a military machine rather than an ordinary carriage. Because of that, when soldiers stationed nearby saw it passing through the streets, they immediately recognized whose it belonged to.
No one dared to stop it.
