A surge of dark energy flooded into Arceus's body. His eyes rolled back, and he collapsed unconscious before he could even make a sound.
"Big Bro Arceus!"
Ignis roared in fury. Without thinking, he raised his bow at the Necromancer King, conjuring an arrow.
The Necromancer King didn't even turn around.
He simply lifted the black scythe in his left hand and made one casual swing.
*Shing.*
The sound was almost gentle.
Ignis's body froze mid-motion. For a brief second, nothing happened. Then his head slowly slid off his shoulders and rolled across the broken stone floor. His headless body collapsed a moment later.
Arceus remained unconscious on the ground.
Inside the barrier, Noah's eyes widened in shock.
"Ignis!"
He struck the barrier with renewed fury, each attack causing the formation to tremble violently. The five elders staggered, blood dripping from their mouths, but the Supreme Pontiff kept reinforcing the barrier without fail.
