The idea was so insane her brain simply refused to process it. She stared at Arceus's peaceful face, then at Kiara lying unconscious beside him, her fingers still resting against his chest like she couldn't bear to let go even in sleep.
If Noah was wrong… she would be desecrating the body of the man Kiara loved more than anything.
If he was right… she might be witnessing a miracle.
Her hands started to shake.
"Are you sure?" she whispered.
Noah met her eyes for a long moment.
"I… don't know."
Scarlett's heart dropped.
"I've never attempted this before."
Silence stretched between them, broken only by the soft lapping of the lake.
"But…" His gaze drifted toward Kiara. "I know my core. It was built to replace the Orb of Chaos if necessary. My creator designed it for that exact purpose."
He drew in a shallow, painful breath.
"The probability is low… but it exists."
