Chapter 299 - Chapter 299 Do you want to fly?

"I am the Duke, why don't you let him fly?" Robert was somewhat angry.

"Do you want to fly?" Gendry asked him.

"Who are you? You're so tall, will I be like that someday? My mother says our lineage is strong," Robert asked. The Child was indeed frail.

"He is your King, King Robert's son and heir, and the son of Lord Jon's adopted son. You will call him King from now on," Ser Vardis replied.

"That fat King? Always drunk. My mother said he was a bad man and wanted to give me to the lion. But the fat man's son is much better looking. Can you really make me fly?"

"Knights never lie," Gendry smiled and came before Robert.

"I want to fly!" Lord Robert shouted. Gendry told him to stand still.

"Dangerous, this…" Ser Barristan quickly said. "Your armor…"

"It's fine," Gendry waved his hand.

"Watch closely, you're going to fly." Gendry tossed Robert into the air and then steadily caught the Child, smoothly, without a ripple. Even though Robert was six, he looked like a four-year-old. It was estimated that even at eight, he might still have the physique of a four or five-year-old.

With this weight, Gendry felt incredibly smooth in his movements. Gendry repeatedly sent the Child into the air within a circle centered on himself, while his own center of gravity remained motionless.

The Child in sky blue and cream was tossed into the air, cheering happily, again and again. The Lords watched, dazzled. When the Young Lord came down, he was so light, as if a feather had fallen onto Gendry.

Ser Lyn and Bronze Yohn, among others, all widened their eyes, watching Gendry's game. Gendry, in black scale armor, playing a tossing game with this half-grown Child, was itself quite astonishing.

Lyn observed Gendry's movements, and what was even more frightening was his stability. Again and again, Gendry's breathing showed no sign of panic, his movements were as standard as ever, like an unruffled water surface. This clearly indicated he had reached the realm of "making heavy things seem light."

It's not hard for a Knight to toss an object, but tossing a living being while wearing armor is much harder. The most difficult part is doing it so many times, with such effortless ease and flowing, unrestrained movements, which is extremely difficult to achieve.

"Big brother, can you make me fly like this again someday?" Robert said excitedly. The Child had a great time and didn't trigger an epileptic fit, which relieved all the Lords.

"Yes, if you listen to the Maester and listen to these people," Gendry put Robert Arryn down, letting the Child land steadily on the ground.

Perhaps I can even make you fly someday? But not by myself, but by The dragon Balerion. The first Arryn Lord to submit to a dragon received such treatment, but he was later thrown from The Gate of the Moon by his own brother.

Gendry thought of his dragon Balerion. He wondered how black death was doing now; he truly missed him. Perhaps in one, two, or three years, he would be able to carry people.

Gendry looked at the laughing Sweet Robin. This foolish Child was happy, but could he truly be carefree?
