I couldn't believe what was happening. In SCRL, things weren't this difficult—Derug couldn't change forms or heal himself. At this point, I was starting to believe I was in a hard mode version of SCRL.
If there was anything worse than a boss with a second form, it was a boss with a second form that could heal itself. But Derug wasn't even a boss, and he was already showing this level of difficulty.
The dark mass forming around his arms was at first shapeless, pulsing as if it had a life of its own, but it didn't take long for it to take form. Just like the rest of his body—dark as a starless night—the mass shaped itself into Derug's new arms, as if he had taken no damage at all.
