It was a bright and sunny afternoon. Shinobu was walking down the long corridor, a little unsure of what she was supposed to be doing, so she just aimlessly strolled along.
Her gaze eventually fixed on the end of the corridor, which glowed with a white light, as if something was drawing her in.
When she reached the end, the dazzling light forced Shinobu to raise her hand to shield her eyes. Only after she had fully adjusted did she slowly lower her arm.
Hearing a familiar voice, Shinobu subconsciously looked up, but then her beautiful purple eyes widened abruptly.
"Shinobu."
Yoizumi stood under a tree, calling out softly. His golden hair was ruffled by the breeze, and he smiled gently in the sunlight, his sapphire eyes filled with nothing but her.
"Yoizumi?"
Looking at Yoizumi in the sunlight with disbelief, Shinobu called out tentatively. Only when Yoizumi on the other side raised his arms, opening them to her, did she finally believe, and she instantly threw herself into his embrace.
This time, his embrace was no longer cold; instead, it carried the warmth of the sun.
"Shinobu..."
"Yang... Quan?" Opening her eyes and looking at the ceiling, Shinobu blinked in a daze. She then realized it was just a dream; she had dreamt of Yoizumi... It was so real that even though Shinobu was awake, she could still feel the warmth of Yoizumi from their embrace in the dream.
Burying her head in the soft pillow, the content of this dream was enough to make her heart flutter uncontrollably, because that clumsy person... had looked at her with such intensely passionate eyes.
She turned her head, half of her face sinking into the pillow, and her slender fingers gripped the bedsheet.
Half of her fair, small face was exposed, flushed with a rosy tint.
What one thinks about during the day, one dreams about at night... She rubbed her head, looking at the sky. She had woken up so early!
Yet, there was no trace of drowsiness, and her body felt much lighter than usual, without any discomfort.
Could it be that the medicine she drank before bed yesterday had worked?
Shinobu immediately found her medicine box, took out a syringe, and drew a little of her own blood. After a careful examination, Shinobu put down the test strip in her hand, her fingertips trembling slightly with excitement. The toxins in her body had truly decreased!
She needed to confirm it one more time.
Half an hour later, Shinobu drew blood again. Now she could be sure that the toxins in her body were dissolving at an extremely rapid rate.
It would probably be completely gone in about two days.
She was saved... saved by Yoizumi once again... Her upright posture suddenly relaxed a little, bending until Shinobu was leaning on the desk. Her window overlooked the main entrance of the Butterfly Mansion, and her purple eyes, filled with longing, gazed at that large door.
The person she missed so dearly, when would he return? She truly, truly wanted to see her lover right now. If possible, she also wanted to nestle in Yoizumi's arms.
After all, Yoizumi would not refuse.
Shinobu's eyes curved into a smile. When he returns, she would give him a big hug first.
Slowly rising, her steps light, she went to the kitchen. After breakfast, it would be time to continue her research.
"Wait, breakfast will be ready soon," Kanzaki Aoi said, hearing footsteps. She focused intently on the fire without turning around. The moment it was time to take it out of the pot, she opened the lid. The fried fish was ready. She set down the plates, assuming it was Kiyo and the others, and handed over the plates until she heard that familiar voice.
