Yusaku's lips curled into an amused grin. He flicked a card out of his hand and slapped it onto the field.
"First, I activate the Quick-Play Spell—[Mystical Space Typhoon], to destroy [Temple of the Kings] on the field! Then I activate the Continuous Spell—[Infinite Cards]!"
"[Infinite Cards]'s effect: as long as this card remains face-up on the field, neither player has a hand size limit!"
After explaining, Yusaku's wrist moved in a blur as he pulled out four cards at once.
"Next, I Set four cards!"
With a sharp hum, four pitch-black face-down cards appeared in a neat row in Yusaku's back row.
"Next is [Slifer the Sky Dragon]'s effect!" Yusaku barked. "This card's ATK and DEF increase by your hand size × 1000!"
He slowly opened his palm, showing off the thick stack of cards in his hand, eyes sharp as a hawk.
"I have 10 cards in my hand right now—so [Slifer the Sky Dragon]'s ATK becomes 10,000!"

Watching Slifer's ATK spike to 10,000, Karasu's pupils snapped tight, his expression twisting in shock.
But the next second, as if he'd suddenly remembered something, he jerked his head up toward Yusaku and let out a mocking, icy laugh.
"So what if it's strong?"
He folded his arms, voice brimming with certainty, like victory was already in his pocket.
"I know the gods' effects inside and out! A god that's Special Summoned gets forcibly sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase! So that [The Revived Sky God] you activated to make both sides draw—in my eyes, that's just hurting the enemy for a thousand and hurting yourself for eigh—no. Hurting yourself for ten thousand!"
"A god that isn't on the field doesn't matter, no matter how strong it is!"
At that, a faintly mocking curve appeared at the corner of Yusaku's mouth. He spoke calmly—quiet, yet so clear it carried through the entire arena.
"Oh? Is that so? Then tell me—why do you think I didn't activate that Trap during your turn, and waited until my own?"
"Because on my turn, the god won't go to the Graveyard."
He raised a hand in a clean, decisive finishing gesture, his tone steady but crushingly oppressive.
"My turn ends."
"This is impos—"
Karasu: "?"
"Thunderforce Attack!!!"
Yusaku's shout detonated like thunder. The instant the words left his mouth, Slifer in the sky threw its jaws wide open. Azure lightning raged and compressed inside its maw, condensing into a massive sphere of electricity that radiated pure destruction.
With a screeching roar, the thunderball tore through the air and smashed straight into the newly appeared [Adamancipator Analyzer]! Violent currents erupted and crawled over its body—then its DEF value plunged in an instant.

The moment its DEF hit zero, [Adamancipator Analyzer] exploded on the field—gone so completely it didn't even leave fragments behind.
Karasu's pupils shrank. All the color drained from his face as he blurted out in disbelief.
"Wait—[Slifer the Sky Dragon] only lowers ATK, doesn't it?! It reduces DEF too?!"
Yusaku gave him a sidelong glance, the look you gave someone who clearly didn't know what they were talking about. His explanation was calm, almost matter-of-fact.
"Who told you [Slifer the Sky Dragon] only lowers ATK?"
"When your opponent Normal Summons, Flip Summons, or Special Summons a monster, the monster loses 2000 ATK/DEF! If it's in Attack Position, it loses ATK. If it's in Defense Position, it loses DEF. If that effect reduces a monster's ATK or DEF to 0, that monster is destroyed."
He looked at Karasu—now pale as paper—and the mockery at the corner of his mouth deepened.
"And if I remember right, the low-level monsters in your [Adamancipator] deck… basically none of them have more than 2000 ATK or DEF."
"Now then—go ahead. Put on your show."
