A burst of dark-red light detonated across the field, and a dinosaur clad in jagged black armor appeared. Ghostly blue flames burned along its crown, spine, and talons.

"I activate Souleating Oviraptor's effect!" Karasu's voice shot up as he yanked a card from his hand. "Chain! I activate the effect of Miscellaneousaurus from my hand!"
"First, resolve Miscellaneousaurus!" Karasu looked straight at Yusaku and explained each word carefully. "During my or your Main Phase, I can send this card from my hand to the GY to activate it!"
He slapped Miscellaneousaurus into the GY. "For this Main Phase, all Dinosaur monsters I control are unaffected by any effects you activate!"
Karasu sneered. "Well? Now it doesn't matter whether you've got hand traps or not—don't even think about interrupting my combo!"
Yusaku, hearing that, still looked completely unbothered. "Do you think I'm like you Gurus types, always playing dirty little tricks in the gutter? I said no hand traps, no quick effects—so there won't be any."
Karasu frowned slightly. "In this situation, you're still going to force it?"
Yusaku glanced at him, his tone flat but edged with amusement. "If I'm not laughing, should I be crying?"
"Hmph!" Karasu snorted, the malice in his eyes sharpening. "Hope you can still laugh once my board's finished!"
He stopped wasting words and pushed his turn forward.
"My turn continues! I activate Souleating Oviraptor's effect!"
"When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, I can activate it! I choose 1 Dinosaur monster from my Deck—add it to my hand, or send it to the GY!" Karasu's finger swept across his Deck. "I choose to add Animadorned Archosaur from my Deck to my hand!"
After adding the searched card to his hand, he barked, "Next, I activate my other effect of Miscellaneousaurus in the GY! I can banish any number of Dinosaur monsters from my GY, including this card, to activate it. Then I Special Summon 1 Dinosaur monster from my Deck whose Level equals the number of monsters I banished!"
"I banish Miscellaneousaurus itself!"
"Special Summon—Level 1, Animadorned Archosaur!"
Light flashed, and a crocodilian monster carved from milky-white pearl appeared on the field. Its scales looked like smooth, rounded pearls set one after another.

"Animadorned Archosaur's effect!" Karasu shouted. "When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, I can activate it—destroy 1 Dinosaur monster in my hand, except this card!"
He revealed a card from his hand. "I choose to destroy Babycerasaurus in my hand!"
"Then, I add 1 'Evolution Pill' Spell from my Deck to my hand!" His Deck clicked as a card flew into his grasp. "I choose Double Evolution Pill!"
The instant Babycerasaurus was destroyed and sent to the GY, Karasu spoke again. "Babycerasaurus's effect! When this card is destroyed by an effect and sent to the GY, it activates!"
"I Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Dinosaur monster from my Deck!"
"I choose to Special Summon another Babycerasaurus from my Deck!"
A dazzling summon flare erupted, and a tiny three-horned dinosaur wobbled onto the field, its lower half still wrapped in a half-cracked eggshell.

After bringing it out, Karasu shouted, "Next, I activate Souleating Oviraptor's other effect!"
"I target 1 other Level 4 or lower Dinosaur monster I control! I destroy that monster!" Karasu pointed straight at Babycerasaurus on his field. "Then I Special Summon 1 Dinosaur monster from my GY in Defense Position!"
"I destroy Babycerasaurus on my field! I Special Summon the other Babycerasaurus from my GY!"
A flash—Babycerasaurus that had just hit the field shattered into fragments, while the other Babycerasaurus slowly rose from the GY, still wrapped in that eggshell look.

"Babycerasaurus's effect doesn't have a once-per-turn limit!" Karasu roared. "So I can activate the effect of the Babycerasaurus that was just destroyed!"
"I Special Summon my Level 4 Scrap Raptor from my Deck!"
A thunderous whir of grinding gears exploded across the field as a dinosaur covered in dark gray alloy plating appeared.

"Not done yet!"
Karasu's voice rose higher.
"Now I activate the effect of Scrap Raptor that I just Summoned!"
"I can target 1 monster I control—destroy it. This turn, I gain 1 additional Normal Summon of a 'Scrap' monster during my Main Phase!"
He looked at Yusaku. "I choose to destroy Scrap Raptor itself, so I can Normal Summon an additional 'Scrap' monster this turn."
As he finished speaking, the mechanical dinosaur dissolved into light and vanished.
"Now, at this moment!" Karasu turned his gaze to the GY. "I activate Scrap Raptor's other effect!"
"When this card is destroyed by the effect of a 'Scrap' card and sent to the GY, I can activate it! I add 1 'Scrap Factory,' or 1 non-Tuner 'Scrap' monster, from my Deck to my hand!"
His Deck flipped rapidly, and a card flew into his hand. "I choose to add the non-Tuner 'Scrap' monster—Scrap Chimera!"
The instant the card hit his hand, Karasu slammed it onto his Duel Disk without hesitation, his voice loud and cold. "Then, thanks to Scrap Raptor's effect, I can Normal Summon an additional 'Scrap' monster!"
"Come on out! Scrap Chimera!"
With a deafening roar, a massive lion stitched together from steel and machine parts appeared on the field.

"I activate Scrap Chimera's effect!" Karasu said icily. "When this card is Normal Summoned, I can target 1 'Scrap' Tuner in my GY—Special Summon it!"
"I Special Summon Scrap Raptor from my GY!"
The gears screamed again as Scrap Raptor reappeared on the field, the rumbling roar even harsher than before.

"Next—Link Summon!" Karasu snapped his hand up, a trace of resolve in his voice. "I use my Level 1 Animadorned Archosaur as Link Material!"
"Link Summon! Link-1—Relinquished Anima!"
Brilliant Link light speared into the sky. Animadorned Archosaur dissolved into a streak of radiance and surged into the Link circuit.
As the single arrow lit, a grotesque monster emerged—knife-like claws, and from its chest extended a long tentacle tipped with an eye like the Eye of Horus.

The moment it appeared, Karasu immediately shouted, "Next, I use Relinquished Anima and Scrap Chimera on my field as Link Materials!"
"Link Summon! Link-2—Scrap Wyvern!"
Two streams of light shot upward into the Link circuit as two arrows lit at once.
In the next instant, a winged dragon assembled from mechanical parts burst through the radiance and spread its wings in midair.

"I activate Scrap Wyvern's effect!" Karasu said calmly. "I target 1 'Scrap' monster in my GY—Special Summon it! Then I destroy 1 card I control!"
"I choose to Special Summon Scrap Chimera from my GY! Then I destroy the Scrap Chimera I just Summoned!"
Light flickered—Scrap Chimera appeared on the field, only to be destroyed again a split-second later, breaking into fragments as it fell back into the GY.
And Karasu's voice, now carrying a hint of mania, rang through the arena.
"At this moment! I activate Scrap Wyvern's other effect!"
"While this card is in the Monster Zone, if a face-up 'Scrap' monster on the field is destroyed by an effect, I can activate this!" Karasu's voice climbed louder and louder. "I Special Summon 1 'Scrap' monster from my Deck—then I destroy 1 card on the field!"
"I choose to Special Summon Scrap Golem from my Deck!"
Heavy footsteps slammed down as a hulking rock-and-steel golem constructed from thick plates and piled stone appeared.

"Then, I destroy Babycerasaurus on my field!"
As Karasu finished, Scrap Golem raised an iron fist and smashed it down on the helpless little dinosaur. The crack of eggshell shattering was sharp and grating as Babycerasaurus exploded into fragments and fell into the GY again.
"Since Babycerasaurus was destroyed by an effect, I can activate its effect to Special Summon my Level 4 Giant Rex from my Deck!"
Scalding flames erupted. A crimson, spined dinosaur tore through the light and landed on the field. A line of razor bone-spikes ran down its back, its claws burned with searing fire, and its eyes glowed blood-red—like a beast straight out of hell.

"I activate Scrap Golem's effect!" Karasu looked at Yusaku. "Once per turn, I can choose 1 Level 4 or lower 'Scrap' monster in my GY and Special Summon it to my field—or yours!"
He pointed into the GY at Scrap Chimera. "I choose to Special Summon Scrap Chimera!"

The instant it hit the field, Karasu shouted at once, "Next, I use the Scrap Chimera I just Summoned, my Link-2 Scrap Wyvern, and Scrap Golem as Link Materials!"
"Link Summon! Link-4—Borrelguard Dragon!"
Three streams of light blasted upward into the Link circuit as four arrows lit simultaneously.
In the next second, a red mechanical dragon bristling with countless cannon barrels burst through the radiance and coiled in the air. Its body stretched dozens of meters, and its dragon claws clenched, flashing with a dark-blue twin gleam.
