Yusaku snapped his arm up. A card in his hand glittered with red, white, and green radiance as he shouted, "Next, I tune Sangenpai Bident Dragion with the Level 3 Tenpai Dragon Paidra!"
"Three-colored dragonflame—gather and erupt! With overwhelming might, crush the enemy without mercy!"
"Come forth! Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion!!!"
In an instant, both monsters turned into streaks of light and shot into the sky. A Synchro pillar even more blinding than before poured down from above.
The wind screamed. The earth trembled. The majesty of dragons swept across the land like the sky itself was venting its fury. From within the beam, a three-headed dragon intertwined in a single crimson mass emerged, blotting out the heavens.

Karasu froze for half a beat, then burst into a scornful laugh. "You think you can end this with just those two monsters? Don't make me laugh!"
He flicked his gaze across Yusaku's field and sneered. "One Synchro that's barely worth mentioning, plus a pathetic low-level with only 1500 ATK. Are you serious?"
Arms folded, he grinned with absolute confidence. "From all your Special Summons, my LP is already up to 14300. Even if I hadn't used Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood, your two monsters couldn't end this turn—hell, you couldn't even get over a single monster on my field! If that's all you've got, then next turn, this Duel is over!"
Yusaku glanced at him like he was watching a clown trip over his own shoes.
"You think you're getting a next turn? This Duel ends right now."
Karasu: "?"
Yusaku raised his hand and pointed straight at Karasu's monsters.
"Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion, attack! Target—Borrelguard Dragon!"
Karasu's brow furrowed, but the smugness didn't leave his face. "Both are 3000 ATK. You're trading one-for-one?"
Yusaku's lips curled. A smile that said he'd already won.
"Sorry. The one getting destroyed is your monster."
The instant the red dragon's jaws began to gather scorching breath, the attack reached the Damage Step. Yusaku barked, "Activate the effect of Tenpai Dragon Chundra!"
"At the start of the Damage Step, when a monster battles: you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE Dragon monster from your Deck, except this card!"
"I Special Summon Tenpai Dragon Fadra from my Deck!"
A black vortex tore open again. A vivid green dragon roared out of it, massive wings beating a violent gale into the arena.

Yusaku's voice rang through the stadium. "If this card is Normal or Special Summoned, or at the start of the Damage Step when a monster battles: you can target 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE Dragon monster in your GY; Special Summon it!"
"I Special Summon Tenpai Dragon Paidra from my GY!"

"And Fadra has another effect—while it's in the Monster Zone, my FIRE Dragon monsters can't be destroyed by battle!"
"So the monster getting destroyed… is yours!"
Karasu's pupils shrank to pinpoints. His face twisted as he shouted, "Then I activate Borrelguard Dragon's effect! Once per turn, during either player's turn: I target 1 monster on the field; change its battle position!"
"And you can't activate card effects in response to this effect's activation!"
"Negated." Yusaku looked right at him. "Whether you can respond or not doesn't matter—against Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion, it's all pointless!"
"This card's effect: while it's in the Monster Zone, your opponent can't activate any effects during the Battle Phase."
"Battle-phase triple lock from the metal star—get it?"
Karasu's face drained of color. "What…?"
He whipped his head toward his mechanical dragon. Sure enough—after he'd given the command, nothing happened.
Borrelguard Dragon stood there like an ice-cold statue, sealed in place. It didn't move. It didn't respond.
Yusaku thrust his hand forward. "Transcendent Dragion—run it over!"
The dragon's inferno detonated.
A flood of annihilating flame crashed down and swallowed Borrelguard Dragon whole. The explosion shook the arena, heat rippling outward like a physical wave.
Karasu's mechanical dragon didn't even have time to scream before it was erased—no wreckage, no ash, nothing.
Karasu clenched his teeth, eyes bloodshot. "So what if you destroyed one monster?! Look at your field now! Your three monsters—your highest ATK is only 1700! You'll never break through my line!"
"Oh, really?"
Yusaku slowly turned his head toward Karasu. His right hand slid to the Extra Deck. He drew a card glowing with a faint red light and held it high, the crimson shine reflecting in his eyes.
"Then watch closely… and see whether I can end this Duel."
His coat snapped in the wind that wasn't there. His voice rose, heavy enough to rattle the stands.
"Effect of Tenpai Dragon Chundra—once per turn, during either player's Battle Phase: using monsters you control, including this card, as material, Synchro Summon!"
"Clear mind… calm as still water!!!"
"I use it, tuning Chundra with my Level 3 Tenpai Dragon Paidra and Level 3 Tenpai Dragon Fadra!"
Karasu stumbled back like he'd been punched. "N-No… that's impossible! You can Synchro Summon right now?!"
"Why not?" Yusaku roared, lifting his arm even higher, the card blazing like a flare.
"Now I'll show you—Accel Synchro that surpasses the limit!"
"The gathered crystallization of dreams opens a new gate of evolution, becoming a radiant road of light—Accel Synchro!!!"
"Level 10—Trident Dragion!!!"
Chundra became four shining stars, wrapping Paidra and Fadra tight. A Synchro pillar brighter than anything before speared through heaven and earth, forcing everyone to shield their eyes.
When the light faded, Karasu's breath caught.
Yusaku—was gone.
The crowd gaped, mouths open wide enough to swallow a Duel Disk. Nearby Duelists froze mid-draw, cards slipping from their hands without them even noticing.
Even the staff monitoring the match shot up from their seats, coffee spilling down their clothes—scalding hot, yet nobody felt a thing.
Then the player section erupted.
"Holy—just like the anime! Accel Synchro makes the Duelist disappear!"
"Did he just say he accelerated or something?!"
Before anyone could process it, a roar thundered from the void—regal, tyrannical, as if the world itself was bowing.
A storm tore across the arena. Dragon pressure crushed the air.
Yusaku reappeared—standing proudly atop a three-headed crimson dragon, manifesting out of nothing, then dropping down like a superhero landing.
Trident Dragion

The instant Yusaku hit the ground, he swept his arm.
"Activate Trident Dragion's effect! Destroy the Field Spell Sangen Summoning and Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion!"
Both cards shattered into glittering fragments and vanished into the air.
"This moment—Graveyard effect of Sangen Summoning activates!"
Yusaku's voice snapped like a gavel. "If this card is destroyed during the Battle Phase: target 1 Dragon Synchro monster you control; its ATK becomes double!"
"I target Trident Dragion—double its ATK!"
Trident Dragion
ATK 3000 → 6000
"And Trident Dragion has another effect!"
"On Synchro Summon: you can target up to 2 other cards you control; destroy them. This turn, during each Battle Phase, it can make additional attacks equal to the number of cards destroyed by this effect!"
"I destroyed two cards—so this turn, Trident Dragion can attack three times!"
Karasu's eyes went huge. "Six thousand ATK… and three attacks?!"
But he snapped his head up like he'd grabbed a lifeline.
"Even then you can't end it! The moment you Summoned that, Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood restores 3000 LP for me—bringing me to 20600! You can't possibly punch through that!"
Karasu (LP 17600 → 20600)
"In that case…"
Yusaku lifted his last card, gold light shimmering along its edge.
"…I'll make sure you have absolutely no excuses left."
"Quick-Play Spell—Saga of the Dragon Emperor! Target 1 Dragon monster you control; its ATK becomes doubled until the end of this turn!"
"I target Trident Dragion—double it again!"
Trident Dragion
ATK 6000 → 12000
"T-Twelve thousand?!" Karasu's face went dead pale. He staggered backward, despair flooding his eyes. "That… that can't be real…"
"It's real." Yusaku slashed his hand through the air. "And it's over."
"First attack!" Yusaku pointed like a judge passing sentence. "Trident Dragion—attack Borreload Furious Dragon!"
All three heads opened at once. Apocalyptic energy churned in their throats until the air itself screamed under the pressure.
Three crackling spheres of destruction shot out like meteor strikes, engulfing the monster in a single, blinding blast and grinding it to dust.
Karasu (LP 20600 → 11600)
"Attack continues."
"Attack—Overtex Qoatlus!"
The three spheres fired again. The explosion swallowed Karasu's monster in searing light.
Karasu (LP 11600 → 2300)
"Now it ends!" Yusaku raised his hand, pointing at Karasu's last, most prized monster. "Say goodbye to your ace! Trident Dragion, attack—Ultimate Conductor Tyranno!"
Flames erupted even fiercer than before, drowning the tyrannosaur's body. It let out one final, unwilling roar—then disintegrated into ash.
The remaining inferno didn't slow. It surged forward like a tidal wave, rolling straight toward Karasu's face.
"N-NO—!!!"
Karasu's eyes reflected nothing but burning red as the blaze swallowed his vision. "Impossible! This isn't real!"
"How can I lose here?!"
"I don't believe it! I don't believe it!!!"
BOOOOM!
A shockwave of golden energy detonated across the field, shaking the entire arena. Dust and debris whipped up like a sandstorm as Karasu was blasted backward.
