"Next, I chain the effect of Predaplant Chimerafflesia in my Graveyard!"
Nightshroud revealed the card in his Graveyard and looked at Yusaku.
"First, Predaplant Chimerafflesia's effect. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, during the next Standby Phase, I can activate its effect and add 1 Polymerization Spell or Fusion Spell from my Deck to my hand!"
"And right now, this is your Standby Phase! So I can activate that effect and add the Quick-Play Spell Super Polymerization from my Deck to my hand!"
After adding the searched card to his hand, Nightshroud continued.
"Next is Predaplanning's effect: I can send 1 Predaplant monster from my Deck to the Graveyard, then place 1 Predator Counter on each face-up monster on the field."
"I send Predaplant Byblisp from my Deck to the Graveyard! Then I place a Predator Counter on every monster on my field!"
Like shoots sprouting after the rain, crimson counters appeared on every monster on Nightshroud's field.
After placing the counters, he continued.
"Next, I activate the effect of Predaplant Byblisp in my Graveyard! If this card is sent to the Graveyard, I can activate its effect and add 1 Predaplant monster from my Deck to my hand, except Predaplant Byblisp itself!"
"I add Predaplant Drosophyllum Hydra from my Deck to my hand!"
"And I'm still not done!"
As he added the new card to his hand, Nightshroud's voice rang out again.
"I activate Predaplant Byblisp's other effect from the Graveyard! If there is a monster with a Predator Counter on the field, I can activate this effect and Special Summon this card from the Graveyard!"
"With that effect, I Special Summon Predaplant Byblisp in Defense Position!"

After summoning the monster, Nightshroud looked at Yusaku and curled his lips into a confident smile.
"Now my end board is truly complete. And just so you can lose without any complaints, let me walk you through my field."
He raised a hand and pointed at the monsters on his field one by one as he introduced them.
"Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon can negate the effects of all Level 5 or lower monsters on the field! Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon, when destroyed, can blow up all of your Special Summoned monsters..."
"And then there's Predaplant Triphyoverutum, which can place Predator Counters on monsters during your turn! As long as it's on the field, all monsters on your field with Predator Counters on them have their effects negated!"
Nightshroud then turned his gaze toward Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon.
"As for my ace, Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon, it has a self-revival effect. If it's sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's card, I can target 1 DARK monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it. Since it's DARK itself, it can just revive itself right back onto the field!"
After introducing his monsters, Nightshroud glanced at the face-down card in his back row and let out a cold laugh.
"And I don't mind telling you this either. That face-down card in my back row is Super Polymerization! So even if you somehow negate all the effects of my monsters, I can still activate that card and fuse away the monsters on your field!"
He folded his arms across his chest and lifted his chin.
"So, do you still think my Deck is weak?"
Yusaku didn't answer him directly. He only said flatly, "Finished talking?"
Nightshroud: "?"
Yusaku slowly raised his hand, spread all five fingers, then calmly lowered two of them. His voice rang clearly through the entire arena.
"Three moves. I'll end this Duel in three moves."
"Huh???"
That one sentence exploded over the audience like thunder. Every duelist in the stands froze, staring at each other in disbelief, as if they suspected they had just misheard him.
"Break Nightshroud's field and end the Duel in three moves? Is he serious?!" one spectator blurted out.
The duelist next to him was just as stunned.
"That's impossible, isn't it? Nightshroud's board has destruction, omni-pressure, endless revival, effect negation, and Super Polymerization set in the back row as insurance! How is that getting broken in just three moves?!"
At that moment, even the experienced players in the audience fell silent.
They racked their brains, but no matter how hard they thought, they simply couldn't come up with any way to crack what looked like a perfect field in only three steps.
Even the commentator was dumbfounded. He held the microphone in silence for several seconds before finally forcing out a dry line.
"Breaking Nightshroud's field in three moves... it seems Yusaku has absolute confidence in his Deck! Then let's see for ourselves exactly how he plans to turn this around!"
On the field, Nightshroud first stared blankly after hearing Yusaku's words, then laughed in fury.
"Three moves? Then I'd love to see how you plan to beat me in three moves!"
Yusaku merely glanced at the face-down card in Nightshroud's back row and spoke in a calm voice tinged with meaning no one else could quite understand.
"Do you know how Super Polymerization was born?"
Nightshroud: "?"
The moment he heard that, Kazetaro in the stands froze, but then immediately realized something.
"So that's it. I get it now."
The player beside him hurriedly asked, "Kazetaro, don't leave us hanging. What did you figure out?"
Kazetaro only gave a faint smile.
"Think carefully about who Super Polymerization is connected to. Who its rightful wielder really is... and who that wielder is now."
Hearing that, some of the quicker players immediately thought of the answer and blurted out,
"Yubel..."
Before they could finish, Kazetaro put a finger to his lips.
"Shh. The people from Duel Academy and Gurus are watching. It's enough if we understand."
On the field, Yusaku's voice rang out again, breaking the brief silence.
"First move!"
As soon as the words fell, Yusaku pulled out a card from his hand and slapped it onto his Duel Disk.
"I Normal Summon Samsara Lotus!"
The moment the card was placed into the Duel Disk, the ground split open with a black fissure, and a delicate pink lotus slowly emerged from it. Dew glistened on its petals. It looked incomparably pure, yet gave off a sinister dark aura that made the heart tremble.

Yusaku's voice suddenly rose.
"I can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 Yubel monster from my Deck!"
"I activate that effect! I Tribute Samsara Lotus and Special Summon Yubel from my Deck!"
The pink lotus instantly dissolved into a shower of light. In the next moment, a slender figure slowly took shape within those glowing particles. Arms folded across her chest, dark energy coiled faintly around her body. There was no emotion in her eyes, as if they could see straight through the deepest desires in a person's heart.

Seeing this unfamiliar monster suddenly appear on the field, Nightshroud's brows knitted tightly together. He ran through all the information he knew, yet couldn't find a single record of this monster.
Just as he was struggling to make sense of it, Yusaku calmly drew another card from his hand.
The moment Nightshroud saw the faint golden glow radiating from that card, his pupils shrank.
"How is that possible? You have Super Polymerization too?!"
Yusaku glanced at him and replied with a hint of mockery in his voice.
"Why wouldn't I? Do you think you're the only one allowed to have it?"
Nightshroud's face turned ugly at once, but he still forced himself to remain composed.
"All of the monsters on my field are DARK! Even if you activate Super Polymerization, at most you can only fuse three of them together and summon Predaplant Triphyoverutum! That monster isn't enough to deal with my field!"
"Who said I was summoning something like that?" Yusaku scoffed, his eyes filled with contempt. "Watch closely. I'll show you what true Super Polymerization looks like."
As he spoke, Yusaku raised his arm high and held the golden card above his head.
In the next instant, an indescribably terrifying power surged out of the card and swept across the entire Duel Arena.
The golden brilliance thrown off by that power was so overwhelming that it almost obscured the card itself, making its artwork and text impossible to see. All anyone could make out were arcs of golden lightning crackling around it, while the very space around the arena began to twist under the pressure, groaning as if it could barely endure the strain.
"Second move!" Yusaku's deep, thunderous voice boomed across the field, rattling everyone's ears. "I activate the Quick-Play Spell Super Polymerization!"
"I send your Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon, Predaplant Triphyoverutum, Predaplant Pterapenthes Hydra, Predaplant Byblisp, and my Yubel to the Graveyard as Fusion Materials!"
Nightshroud: "???"
The instant those words fell, every monster on the field transformed into streams of light, intertwining in midair before flying into the massive Fusion vortex above.
Seeing what was happening on the field, the duelists in the audience couldn't stay seated any longer. One after another, they shot to their feet, eyes wide in utter disbelief.
Then, in the next second, someone shouted,
"Holy crap! He fused all of them!"
On the field, Yusaku raised his arm high and declared in a voice that rang through the entire arena,
"The Fusion requirements of the monster I'm summoning are: 1 Yubel monster plus 1 or more Effect Monsters on the field!"
"Unleash the ultimate power of our bond! Super Polymerization!"
At that instant, dark clouds gathered over the arena, and scarlet lightning crashed down like dragons from the heavens, forming a thousand towering pillars of light behind Yusaku.
Within those columns, a massive figure slowly emerged. It was a monster with enormous black wings spread behind it. Its left arm was human, but its right arm had become the claw of a demonic dragon. Dark and holy power intertwined around its body as Yubel's ultimate form descended onto the field.
Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever
Level 12 / Fiend / Fusion / Effect

"Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever's effect!" Yusaku's voice carried absolute authority. "It inflicts damage to the opponent equal to the number of monsters used as its Fusion Materials × 500!"
He fixed Nightshroud with a blade-sharp stare.
"There were 7 Fusion Materials in total! So you take 3500 damage!"
As the words rang out, Yubel slowly raised its dragonic right claw.
A red sphere of energy rapidly gathered above its talons, wrapped in crackling scarlet lightning and radiating a force that felt capable of annihilating everything. In the next instant, it shot out like a cannon blast, dragging a trail of lightning behind it as it pierced straight through Nightshroud's body.
Nightshroud let out a muffled groan and staggered backward several steps. The color drained from his face in an instant.

Watching all of his monsters get sent to the Graveyard before they could even activate their effects, Nightshroud's face turned ashen. But he had no time to grieve for his field. He jerked his head up and roared at the top of his lungs.
"Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon was sent to the Graveyard by your effect! I activate its effect and Special Summon it from the Graveyard!"
"Come back out, my ace! Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon!"
Poison-green light flared once more as the terrifying dragon burst out of the Graveyard with a roar, standing on the field again.

The instant the monster reappeared, Nightshroud immediately shouted in a hurry,
"Now! I activate the effect in my Graveyard-"
"Hold it!"
Yusaku's cold voice cut him off instantly.
"You think I didn't see that coming?" Yusaku curled his lips into a mocking smile. "The moment you Summoned Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon, the condition for Predaplanning in your Graveyard was met..."
"This card, while in the Graveyard, can be banished if you Fusion Summon a DARK monster. Then you can target 1 card on the field and destroy it!"
He looked at Nightshroud, his eyes full of certainty.
"You want to use that effect to destroy my Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever, right?"
With his intentions laid bare, Nightshroud's face darkened even more. He let out a cold snort.
"So what if I do?!"
Yusaku smiled faintly, amusement flickering in his voice.
"Too bad. Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever can't be destroyed by battle or card effects."
"Then I'll just use Super Polymerization to fuse it away! That protection won't stop Super Polymerization!"
Yusaku calmly drew another card from his hand and revealed it under Nightshroud's stunned stare.
"Nice idea. But you seem to have forgotten that this is still my turn. I have priority to activate an effect."
The moment he saw what the card was, Nightshroud's pupils contracted to pinpoints. He stumbled back a step, his face filled with utter disbelief, and even his voice trembled.
"N-No way! You have another Super Polymerization?!"
"Why not? Say goodbye to your monsters."
"The moment you Special Summoned Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon, I discarded 1 card from my hand and activated the Quick-Play Spell Super Polymerization!"
"I send your Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon and my Fusion Monster Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever to the Graveyard as Fusion Materials!"
"Fusion Summon - Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman!"
A dazzling, sacred light instantly flooded the entire arena, scattering all poison miasma and darkness. Within that radiance, a hero clad from head to toe in silver-white armor slowly appeared.
A pair of metallic wings with a futuristic design spread across his back. His body was wreathed in dreamlike light, and he descended onto the field so lightly it almost seemed like he had no weight at all.
Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman
Level 8 / Warrior / Fusion / Effect
ATK: 2500
The moment Shining Flare Wingman appeared, Yusaku slowly raised his hand and pointed directly at the pale-faced Nightshroud. His voice was calm, but carried an authority that could not be resisted.
"Now you don't have a single monster left on your field, and the Super Polymerization set in your back row has no valid target left to activate on."
The corner of his mouth lifted slightly as he spoke the final words of the Duel.
"So this game is over."
"Battle!"
"Shining Flare Wingman, direct attack!"
The instant the command was given, the silver hero moved.
His metallic wings snapped wide open as he turned into a streak of silver-white light and shot straight toward Nightshroud.
Looking at the hero charging at him, Nightshroud's eyes filled with despair. He staggered backward two steps.
"This can't be happening! I actually lost to some native-!"
Before the howl could finish, the silver hero had already flashed down in front of him.
In the next instant, the holy radiance around the hero detonated, transforming into an unstoppable shockwave of energy that slammed straight into Nightshroud's body.
"Aaaaargh!!!"
A shrill scream echoed through the arena as Nightshroud was hurled backward like a kite with its string cut, sent flying by the force of the impact.
