Xing Luoye placed a heavy hand on his brother's shoulder, a sad smile touching his lips.
"I am the elder, Luoguang. You have to listen to me. You are more strong-headed, but I am just an impulsive man. If I stay alive, I wouldn't be able to lead our clan as well as you can. You have to survive for our race."
"I won't leave you!" Luoguang choked out, tears stinging his eyes.
"You have a mate now," Luoye reminded him softly.
"You just married her. Are you really going to leave her alone in this world? You took her as your female, and now you want to abandon her by dying? Go to her. She is in the bunker. Lead our people to safety and build a new home elsewhere."
Xing Luoye felt ashamed for lying, but he knew using her was the only way he could send his brother away.
Luoguang felt a crushing weight in his chest.
