Later, when they slowed down slightly behind Shisui, Konan continued asking questions.
"So Obito… you don't actually have Water and Earth chakra attributes?"
"Of course not," Obito replied.
Yahiko and Nagato exchanged glances.
They understood.
Drake could apparently implant Wood Release into someone, even if they didn't naturally possess the required chakra attributes.
A terrifying ability.
Yahiko whispered:
"Perhaps Wood Release implantation is related to the Sharingan."
Nagato nodded.
"Very likely."
Incoming Enemy
Suddenly—
Shisui teleported back.
"Be careful!"
"Someone is approaching!"
Everyone instantly went on guard.
Yahiko drew a kunai.
Moments later—
A figure stepped out of the forest.
Black cloak.
Long hair.
Scarlet Sharingan.
Obito froze.
"…Uchiha Madara?"
But something felt wrong.
Madara looked young.
Confusion
Madara glanced at Obito.
"You recognize me?"
"You're also an Uchiha?"
Yahiko and the others were shocked.
"Madara? The man from the First Hokage's era?"
"Wasn't he dead?"
Nagato's eyes turned into Rinnegan.
"This man… is extremely dangerous."
Madara smiled slightly.
"Oh? The Rinnegan."
"So it ended up with you."
Obito stepped forward.
"Wait!"
"You don't recognize me?"
Madara sneered.
"Should I?"
"You think you're worthy of my attention?"
Then he looked at Nagato again.
"I came to reclaim my Rinnegan."
"As for the rest of you… dying is your only option."
Invisible Attack
Madara raised his hand toward Nagato.
Yahiko shouted:
"Watch out!"
Nagato prepared a jutsu.
CRACK.
A horrifying sound echoed.
Nagato froze.
His hands—
Bent unnaturally.
Broken.
Obito stared in disbelief.
"There was nothing!"
"My Sharingan didn't see anything attack!"
Yet Nagato's arms had snapped.
Then—
His eyes suddenly went dark.
"His eyes… were gouged out."
Madara simply held the Rinnegan.
He placed them into his own eye sockets.
Blood flowed.
Then—
He opened his eyes.
Rinnegan.
"Finally… my eyes have returned."
Counterattack
Konan attacked first.
"Paper Style — Paper Shuriken!"
Yahiko launched fire.
"Fire Style — Dragon Flame!"
Obito used Wood Release.
"Wood Release — Great Forest Technique!"
Shisui threw shadow-cloned shuriken.
Madara looked unimpressed.
"Childish."
He raised one hand.
"Shinra Tensei."
BOOOOM.
A massive repulsive force exploded outward.
All attacks were blown away.
The ground was crushed.
Everyone was sent flying.
Nagato shouted urgently despite his blindness.
"Run!"
"Run now!"
Obito wiped blood from his mouth.
"What the hell kind of power is that?!"
Shisui struggled to stand.
"We retreat from the air!"
But suddenly—
They froze.
None of them could move.
"It's like something invisible grabbed me!" Obito shouted.
"Same here!" Shisui said grimly.
Konan cried out:
"We're floating!"
All five of them were lifted into the air.
Madara looked bored.
"Pathetic."
"I'm wasting time with children."
He prepared to crush them.
Sudden Rescue
Then—
Madara's expression changed.
Behind him—
A frog appeared.
A glowing blue sphere formed in its hand.
"Rasengan!!!"
The frog slammed the attack directly toward Madara's back.
