We are both Vegeta, and yet I know absolutely nothing about the legend of Super Saiyan God.
Damn it. Just how far behind him am I.
Vegeta's heart churned violently as frustration and resentment surged without restraint.
His pride had already cracked, and now this truth crushed what little stability remained. No matter how hard he tried, he could not calm himself.
"So, Vegeta," Goku said plainly, looking straight at him, "you want to borrow everyone's power and see if you can reach the realm of Super Saiyan God."
The words were direct. No beating around the bush.
Who said Kakarot was stupid.
When something truly mattered, he always grasped the core faster than anyone else.
Vegeta nodded.
"According to the legend," he said slowly, "six Saiyans are required. Five righteous Saiyans lend their power to the sixth. We may come from different timelines, but the number is exactly right."
As he spoke, his gaze moved across everyone present.
This world's Goku.
This world's Vegeta.
Gohan.
Future Trunks.
And the other Trunks who had traveled with him.
"Is this really feasible?" Piccolo asked calmly. "If the key is righteousness, then only Gohan truly qualifies. Perhaps Future Trunks as well."
To Piccolo, righteousness meant purity without compromise.
Goku fought for Earth, but he also invited danger through his love of battle.
Vegeta had changed, yes, but change alone did not make one righteous.
"Let's try it," Future Trunks said firmly, stepping forward. "We will never know unless we do."
His words cut through the hesitation.
If they did nothing, doubt would remain forever.
"I want to see it too," the other Trunks said quietly. "The realm of Super Saiyan God."
"Then let's do it," Goku said, grinning with excitement. "If it works, we will have an entirely new goal."
At present, Super Saiyan Two was already a mountain.
Super Saiyan Three was a legend.
But a godly form meant something else entirely.
It meant the limits of Saiyan blood were far beyond imagination.
The decision was made.
Vegeta stood at the center.
This world's Goku and Vegeta placed their hands against his back, releasing their power.
Behind them, Gohan, Future Trunks, and the other Trunks transmitted their energy forward.
In an instant, six auras surged as one.
The pressure exploded outward, swallowing the Lookout and shaking the sky itself. Golden flames roared like a storm, intertwining and flooding into Vegeta's body.
Vegeta closed his eyes.
He opened every sense, allowing the torrent of Saiyan energy to pour into him without resistance.
He felt it clearly.
His power was climbing at a terrifying speed.
One hundred fifty million.
One hundred eighty million.
Two hundred million.
Another invisible wall shattered.
"Haaaah!"
Vegeta roared.
But instead of transforming into Super Saiyan One or Two, he entered a strange state. His appearance remained similar to a Super Saiyan, yet the pressure he released rivaled his former Super Saiyan Three.
The air itself seemed to tremble.
Everyone stared in shock.
"This power…"
"It is unbelievable."
"Is this Super Saiyan God?"
Voices overlapped.
But Piccolo's expression darkened.
"No," he said quietly. "Something is wrong."
"What do you mean?"
"It is powerful, but it does not feel divine."
Understanding dawned instantly.
Piccolo had once been Kami.
If anyone could sense divinity, it was him.
"So it failed?" Krillin asked.
Silence followed.
Vegeta inhaled deeply, then slowly exhaled.
The power leaked away.
When the state ended, his base strength dropped again. The borrowed power could not be retained.
It was never truly his.
"So it failed…" Vegeta muttered. "Super Saiyan God is not achieved through power alone. It requires a righteous heart."
Even with memories of another life, he still did not fully understand what that meant.
In the original timeline, Goku's success had relied on something miraculous. The unborn Pan had acted as a catalyst. Her pure existence had completed the ritual.
Without that miracle, even Goku might have failed.
The method was correct.
The numbers were correct.
The power was sufficient.
Yet the final step was missing.
Vegeta fell into deep thought.
No one interrupted him.
After a long silence, he spoke again.
"The method is not wrong. I am certain of it. I have already met the minimum conditions. Something else is missing."
One mind was limited.
But six minds together might find the answer.
As the silence deepened, Vegeta's gaze slowly shifted toward the two Trunks standing nearby.
For the first time, something stirred in his heart.
Something unfamiliar.
Something dangerously close to faith.
