"Alex!" she cried, her voice filled with worry. She grabbed my arm and pulled me up off Fabian, forcing me to stand. Without hesitation, she cupped my face with both hands, her thumbs gently brushing over my split lower lip, which was still bleeding. "What happened? You're bleeding…"
Before I could answer.
"Fabian!" an older man shouted as he rushed over. "What happened, son?" he asked, dropping to his knees to check on him. A woman in an elegant dress hurried behind him, her face filled with shock at the sight of Fabian lying there.
They were probably his parents.
"Who did this to my son?" he spoke up, looking furious, and glared at me as Aria and I stood close to Fabian.
The woman, Fabian's mother, stood frozen for a moment, one hand over her mouth, her eyes wide with disbelief as she took in the scene.
Aria stepped forward immediately, positioning herself slightly in front of me.
"I'm sure your son started everything," Aria said, stepping in to defend me. "Let's go, Alex."
