In the Footage—
Ash and Chloe were seated on Lapras's back. While searching for the locations of Dragonite Island marked on the Pokédex, Ash recounted his past stories with Lapras.
Having reunited with her long-lost trainer, Lapras appeared exceptionally happy, interacting affectionately with Ash throughout the journey.
However, the search didn't go smoothly at first. They visited every coordinate on the map, but "Dragonite Island" remained a myth. Suddenly, Ash had an idea and turned to Lapras.
"Lapras, can you find Dragonite Island? You know, the place with Dragonite? The ones that are... chubby, have tiny wings, and antennae!"
As Ash spoke, Pikachu began kneading his own body, molding himself into the shape of a Dragonite!
Chloe's worldview was shattered once again. Is Ash's Pikachu... made of jelly? Does he have no bones?!
[Caitlin: Wha—?! That's a Ditto! That has to be a Ditto transformed into a Pikachu!]
[Bruno: I knew it! Ash's Pikachu must be a Ditto in disguise!]
[Professor Oak: Be more confident—maybe it's a Mew. That would explain why a Pikachu has such god-like power!]
[Sabrina: This Pikachu... has the potential to become a Psychic-type!]
Under Pikachu's "transformation" guidance, Lapras finally understood. After a moment of thought, she began speeding across the ocean. Before long, she led them to an island where Dragonite, Dragonair, and Dratini were everywhere!
It was a monumental discovery. However, due to Lapras's winding path, the exact location remained a secret to the world—all they knew was that it was somewhere in the Kanto seas.
Professor Oak's Backyard: Lance coughed awkwardly. "Actually... Dragonite Island is an asset of the Blackthorn Dragon Clan. Those 'rumored locations' were false leads we leaked to protect the habitat."
The other Champions weren't surprised, but Ash and the younger trainers were stunned. "I told you before, Ash, that you could pick any Dragon-type. That includes this island. You can even pick a fully evolved Dragonite if you want!"
"Thank you, Mr. Lance!" Ash cheered.
In the Footage—
Upon arriving at the island, Ash's unique affinity for Pokémon allowed him to blend in instantly. They soon learned of a Dragonair that couldn't fly. While the others soared, this kind-hearted Dragonair was left behind.
Ash couldn't stand seeing a Pokémon struggle. "How can a Pokémon not fly? Even my Pikachu can fly for a bit! I even know 'Fly' myself! Making you fly will be a piece of cake!"
However, after hours of training, Dragonair still couldn't get off the ground. Chloe eventually pointed out a specific movement Dragonair made while trying to take off. The Pokédex identified it as Dragon Dance.
"I get it! You need to master Dragon Dance to fly! Leave it to me! I'll demonstrate it for you!"
Chloe: "???"What are you saying, Ash?! You're going to demonstrate Dragon Dance? You do realize that's a Pokémon move, right?!
[Lance: Here it comes! The classic 'Super Pallet Town Human' maneuver!]
[Norman: First it was Fly, then Bone Rush, then Seed Bomb... are we really seeing a new move? Ash, are you SURE you aren't a Pokémon?]
[Cynthia: If Sabrina is the peak of human psychic potential, Ash is the peak of human physical existence.]
In the Footage—
Ash shouted to Pikachu, "Pikachu, use Electroweb on those rocks!" With a confused "Pika?", Pikachu complied. Ash then revealed his insane plan: use the Electroweb as a trampoline to bounce into the air and perform the dance moves.
"Using a Thunderbolt-powered web as a trampoline?! That's suicidal!" Chloe screamed. She thought she knew Ash, but she realized she only knew the tip of the iceberg.
This training method was sheer madness! Even if the voltage was lowered, a normal human would be charred to a crisp.
"Don't worry, Chloe! Just watch!"
Ash jumped. The first time, he was shocked so hard his skeleton was visible through his skin, and he collapsed into a charred heap.
Chloe recognized the pose—it was the same "unidentified object" she had seen collapsed on the lab stairs days ago!
Ash wobbled back up, shook off the scorched skin like it was dust, and tried again. After four attempts, Chloe was numb.
Does he not feel pain? Is he immune to electricity? She touched the edge of the web and was instantly paralyzed. "So... so... nu-u-umb..."
"Chloe! Don't touch it! It's powerful!" Ash yelled. If you knew it was powerful, why are you jumping on it like a bed?!
On the fifth try, Dragonair joined him. "Let's learn Dragon Dance together! One! Two! JUMP!" Man and Dragon bounced off the golden web, spinning and coiling in mid-air.
A mysterious energy enveloped Dragonair. Suddenly, the wings on its head expanded several times in size! White wings carried Dragonair into the sky while Ash landed safely on the ground.
Dragon Dance: Learned!
[Leon: Incredible! Ash has redefined the limits of humanity!]
[Bea: Master! I want to learn that!]
[Bruno: You're a Fighting-type specialist. Why do you want Dragon Dance?]
[Bea: If Master Ash can learn it, I can too! If I learn it, I can teach it to my Machamp! Imagine a Machamp with Dragon Dance buffs!]
[Ash: ...Uh, I can't actually do it right now! Please don't call me Master!]
In the Footage—
Dragonair flew down to nuzzle Ash. Suddenly, it sensed danger from the direction the other Dragonite had gone. Ash and Chloe hopped onto Lapras and followed.
They found Team Rocket masquerading as shipwreck victims to capture a Dragonite. They attempted to catch the whole pod, along with Pikachu and Lapras, using a Wailord from their Gacha machine.
During the struggle, Ash was blasted into the sky by a powerful water jet! Dragonair tried to catch him, but its skin was too slippery. To save its teacher, Dragonair's body erupted in the light of evolution.
In an instant, a bright orange Pokémon caught Ash in its arms. Dragonair had evolved into Dragonite! Team Rocket was promptly sent "blasting off again" by a Hyper Beam. Grateful for the lessons, Dragonite decided to join Ash's team.
Ash had caught his fourth Pseudo-Legendary! (Counting Larvitar).
[Diantha: Team Rocket with another assist! Is this destiny or just their hidden kindness?]
[Wallace: They helped it evolve and strengthened its bond with Ash... are they sure they're the bad guys?]
The Champions debated whether Team Rocket were "villains who do good" or "saints who act bad." Both Ash's team and the Rocket trio fell into a deep existential crisis.
In the Footage—
Ash introduced Dragonite to the Pokémon in Oak's backyard. The audience caught a glimpse of Ash's future roster. Some Pokémon radiated terrifying pressure—specifically Sceptile and Infernape.
[Flint: Ash has an Infernape, too? From the look of it, it's not a bit weaker than mine!]
[Volkner: Flint, that's high praise. Your Infernape is Champion-level!]
Returning to Vermilion City, Ash received an emergency call. The Cerise Laboratory was "haunted"! Knowing it was likely a Ghost-type, Ash brought a specialized counter.
Upon entering, he saw everyone floating in the air, controlled by psychic energy. Chloe stood trembling before a sinister, purple-black Pokémon.
