[Korrina: Is this really the Legend of the Hero of Aura? Could the legend be wrong?]
[Cynthia: Keep watching. Lucario can sense a person's Aura, and Aura reflects the true nature of a person's soul. If Aaron were truly a coward who feared death, Lucario would never have acknowledged him, let alone called him "Lord Aaron." There must be a hidden truth.]
Even without Aura powers, Cynthia understood Lucario. The bond between a Lucario and its Master is absolute. If Aaron were a fraud, the bond wouldn't exist.
In the Footage—
After Aaron sealed Lucario, the screen panned to the two massive armies. War was about to erupt! Queen Rin of Cameron Palace closed her eyes in prayer, unable to watch the slaughter.
Suddenly, a loud cry echoed from the sky. A Pidgeot, heavily wounded and exhausted, flew back toward the castle carrying the Hero's Staff. Queen Rin recognized it instantly—it was Aaron's Pidgeot.
In the distance, a massive, phantom-like tree slowly materialized: The Tree of Beginning! It pulsed with a brilliant green light. Queen Rin whispered through tears, "The radiance of the Tree of Beginning... Aaron, you actually used that final method... You fool..."
The emerald light swept across the battlefield. The blue crystals scattered throughout the land resonated, glowing in unison.
As the light touched the warring humans and Pokémon, their rage vanished. A profound warmth filled their hearts, and the desire for combat evaporated. The war ended not with a bang, but with a peaceful silence.
[Korrina: Did Aaron... sacrifice himself?]
[Lance: It seems so. He used an unknown method to trigger the Tree's power to stop the war. He didn't come back, which is why he sent Pidgeot to return the staff.]
[Cynthia: Now it makes sense. He sealed Lucario because he didn't want his partner to die with him. He protected Lucario from the danger.]
At Cameron Palace, Queen Ilene's eyes filled with tears. Aaron hadn't betrayed his legend; he had saved the world at the cost of his life. But Lucario, trapped in the staff, still didn't know the truth.
In the Footage—
The scene shifted to the modern era at Cameron Palace. An annual festival was being held to honor the Hero. The winner of a Pokémon tournament would be crowned the "Hero of Aura" for the year.
Ash and his friends—May, Max, and Brock—appeared in the crowd. Based on the group, this was during their journey through the Battle Frontier in Kanto.
[Queen Ilene: Only someone with the potential to control Aura can break the seal on the staff. Ash... he has that rare talent.]
In the imagery, Ash dressed up in a replica of Sir Aaron's outfit—a perfect match, down to the cape and hat.
He fought his way through the tournament, his Pikachu dominating every round. Finally, with a thunderous Thunderbolt, Ash won the title of "Hero of Aura."
While Ash was celebrating, an Aipom appeared and started playing with Pikachu. Ash didn't notice anything odd, but the audience, watching from a "God's eye view," saw something different.
[Lance: If I'm not mistaken... that's Mew!]
[Professor Oak: Mew is essentially the Tree of Beginning's companion. Their lives are linked. Legend says when Mew is near the Tree, it possesses unfathomable power!]
In the Footage—
At the royal ball following the tournament, Queen Ilene presented Ash with the Hero's Staff. As Ash held it, a faint voice echoed in his mind, and the staff pulsed with light.
Ash was confused but quickly brushed it off to enjoy the celebration.
However, the "Aipom" (Mew) led Pikachu and the other Pokémon away from the ball to a hidden attic filled with toys. Among the guests, a woman named Kidd Summers—Ash's final opponent from the tournament—quietly slipped away. She changed into a high-tech tactical suit and began communicating via a headset.
[Lance: Another thief targeting Mew?!]
[Professor Oak: Kidd Summers... I remember her. She's a world-record-breaking adventurer.]
[Cynthia: She likely isn't after money or power, but the thrill of exploring the unknown. Adventurers can be reckless in their pursuit of discovery.]
In the Footage—
Kidd leaped across the rooftops, followed secretly by Meowth from Team Rocket, who viewed her as "competition." Inside the toy room, the "Aipom" revealed its true form—Mew!
Kidd spotted Mew from the window and released two Weavile, ordering them to plant a transmitter on the legendary Pokémon.
The Weavile lunged, catching the Pokémon off guard. With a blast of Icy Wind, they froze May's Munchlax and Ash's Grovyle instantly!
Only Pikachu and Meowth remained. Despite the pressure, Pikachu stood his ground, facing two powerful Weavile alone to protect Mew.
