Chapter 39 - Chapter 39   Goodbye,My Child

The terrified man ran until the forest ended. Before him

stretched only steep valleys and jagged mountains — no escape, no path forward.

His breath came in ragged gasps, his eyes wide with despair.

Behind him, the Masked Man walked slowly, each step

deliberate, his presence suffocating.

Terrified Man (pleading):"Who

are you? Why are you following me? What have I done to you?"

The Masked Man said nothing, his silence heavier than

words.

Terrified Man (begging):"Please…

please, I'm begging you… leave me!"

The Masked Man leaned close, his voice low and cold:

Masked Man:"So you claim

you don't know what you did… twenty‑three years ago?"

The man froze, confusion flooding his face.

Terrified Man:"What?

Twenty‑three years? I don't understand…"

The Masked Man slowly removed his mask. The man's eyes

widened in horror.

Terrified Man (shocked):"You…

how? How are you still alive?"

Masked Man (grim):"I

survived because of myself. And now… it's time to end your life."

His hand shot forward, choking the man's throat, lifting

him effortlessly into the air. The man clawed at his grip, gasping.

Masked Man (demanding):"Now

tell me… where is he? Reveal his location, and I may spare you."

The man spat blood, defiant even in fear.

Terrified Man:"I won't

tell you… even if you take my life. You'll never reach him, you bastard!"

The Masked Man's eyes narrowed.

 Masked Man

(cold):"Then I have no choice."

He dragged the man to the cliff's edge, the abyss yawning

below. With one final glare, he lifted him high by the throat.

Masked Man (snarling):"Go

to hell."

And with a brutal motion, he dropped him into the valley.

The man's scream echoed, fading into silence as the mountains swallowed him

whole.

Episode — Ashes of Humanity

(IN FUTURE.....)

The world was burning. Explosions tore through cities,

energy blasts shattered mountains, and the land itself was scarred beyond

recognition. Humanity was collapsing — tortured, enslaved, hunted as prey by

demons and their resurrected ancient overlords.

Amid the chaos, two humans survived. Hidden deep within a

cave, away from the eyes of demons, a young girl carried an old man on her

shoulders. Her breath was heavy, her steps trembling, but her resolve unbroken.

She laid him gently on the cold stone floor.

 Girl (worried):

"Are you okay, Pratap?"

The old man laughed weakly, his voice trembling with pain.

Pratap (smiling through agony):"Hahaha… yeah… ahhh… I'm fine. Those bastards… they broke every

part of my body. I don't think I can survive much longer."

His words echoed in the cave, heavy with despair yet tinged

with defiance. The girl's eyes filled with tears, but she clenched her fists,

refusing to let fear consume her.

Outside, the war raged on — demons conquering, humans

falling, the world itself trembling under the weight of annihilation. But

inside that cave, a fragile spark of humanity remained.

Promise in the Shadows

The girl's tears fell onto the stone floor of the cave, her

voice trembling as she clutched Pratap's hand.

 Girl (weeping):

"Don't say that, you old geezer… I can't imagine surviving without you. You

sacrificed your right eye to protect the earth, you saved me from the blink of

those demons. I rejected your advice not to get near them… it's all my fault.

Why did I do this to you?"

Pratap's laugh was weak, but his words carried weight.

Pratap (gentle, pained):"Don't

worry about me. There is no hope left for someone to come and protect this

earth from demons. Your father was right. He researched, he warned the human

world, but they mocked him as a fool. He sacrificed his life for ours. And I… I

did what you said because I made a promise to your father."

The cave trembled suddenly. A low, guttural noise echoed

through the stone walls. The girl froze, her eyes widening.

The demons had

found them. Their location was exposed.

From the shadows of the cave entrance, monstrous

silhouettes emerged — claws scraping against stone, eyes glowing with hunger.

The air grew heavy, suffocating, as the ancient evil forces stepped inside.

Pratap clenched his teeth, his broken body trembling, but

his spirit refusing to bow.

Pratap (whispering):"So…

they've come. The promise I made to your father… it begins now."

Episode — The Last Promise

Meenakshi fought with fury, ambushing the demons in the

cave. Her blade and fists struck true — five demons fell, their bodies

dissolving into ash. But the battle was far from over.

From the shadows, the towering figure of Hellgater,

the demon head, advanced. His fist crashed into Meenakshi, slamming her against

the stone wall. Rocks began to fall, threatening to bury her alive.

Pratap (screaming):"Meenakshi…

no!"

Summoning the last of his strength, Pratap unleashed a

powerful shield blast, the energy barrier protecting her from the collapsing

stones. But Hellgater's approach did not stop — his monstrous aura filled the

cave.

Pratap's eyes burned with realization.

Pratap (inner voice):"There

is no way I can survive in this world. Karikalan… Elara… you tried to save

humanity from the demons, but they hated duty. They chose pleasure, they

depended on weapons, ignoring the warnings you gave five years ago. They called

you fools. Now… it's time for me to pay the price."

With a roar, Pratap launched a massive energy blast. The

cave shook violently, walls shattering, the ground trembling.

Meenakshi (crying):"Pratap,

no… why did you do this?"

Pratap's voice was firm, even as his body broke.

Pratap:"You brat… I did

this for you. You can't fight them alone. Run away from this world. Survive.

Gather others from beyond, and fight for our race."

The cave collapsed further, dust and fire filling the air.

Meenakshi's tears mixed with ash as she realized — Pratap had chosen sacrifice,

not for himself, but for the promise he made to her father, and for the

survival of humanity.

The cave roared with collapsing stone. Dust and fire filled

the air as Pratap's body trembled under the weight of his final blast. Between

the falling rocks, his fading voice reached Meenakshi:

Pratap (weeping, faint):"Goodbye…

my child…"

Meenakshi's scream echoed through the cave.

Meenakshi (crying):"Prataaaapppp…!"

Her tears blurred her vision as the stones buried him from

sight. She had no choice — her heart shattered, her soul burning with grief.

Meenakshi (inner voice, broken):"Why… why did this happen so suddenly? I ignored my father's

warning… and now I've lost him too. Where will I go now?"

With trembling hands, she summoned her last strength. A

glowing circle of energy formed before her — a portal, shimmering with

light.

She stepped through, her tears falling into the void.

She escaped her reality, leaving behind the ashes of a broken world… carrying with her the promise of survival, and the burden of vengeance.
