Chapter 100 - Stark Industries Goes Bankrupt

"F*cking hell, this is definitely cheating!"

In the killer's perspective, Deli was nothing but a tiny black dot in the distance, yet the moment he appeared, in less than a second, the other guy had already scoped in, aimed, and popped his head with a single shot.

That kind of reaction speed and sensitivity, if it wasn't a cheat, what was?

"Streamer, the other guy is a streamer too. Go search his channel on Spiderweb, it's called 'Hardcore Human Physics Cheating Live'!"

"Oh my god, this guy is literally slaughtering everyone!"

"From the moment he landed and picked up a rifle, then got a sniper, he's been massacring nonstop!"

Hearing the chat say that, Deli got curious. He quit the game, opened Spiderweb, and found the channel: Hardcore Human Physics Cheating Live.

The stream already had over ten million viewers. Besides players who owned helmets, plenty of people came just for the hype.

"With this reaction speed, are we sure this isn't an actual sniper playing a game?"

"Streamer, talk! If you talk, I'll donate!"

"Seven games in a row as the final winner, that's pure skill, insane!"

The bullet comments were a mix of Chinese, English, Russian, and more. Spiderweb covered the entire world, and after Zod reached an agreement with the Rabbit, you didn't even need a VPN to use Spiderweb and interact. That only accelerated Spiderweb's growth.

Its registered users had broken one billion, something unprecedented and probably never to be repeated.

Because Spiderweb accounts weren't free. Registration cost money. A huge crowd of freeloaders still hadn't signed up yet.

Especially with this fresh new format of watching videos, sending live comments, and interacting in real time, even the freeloaders were starting to itch.

Deli stared at the screen. There was no auto-lock, no weird snapping, none of what he'd imagined.

This streaming method directly broadcast the player's raw screen, basically eliminating the possibility of cheats.

Was this really a human being?

Deli fell into the same awe and self-doubt as everyone else.

Zodhis was having a great time, mainly because he wasn't cheating at all. It was all him.

Watching a head slowly appear at the corner ahead, Zod casually scoped in, adjusted a hair onto the skull, squeezed the trigger, and completed yet another breathtaking instant corner kill.

"Holy f*ck, he fired the moment he peeked and still got outsped and headshotted!"

"What kind of reaction speed is this?!"

"My heart almost jumped out of my throat, and the streamer just pushed it back down for me!"

"That's nine wins in a row now, right? Can he get seventy kills this match?"

Zod read the chat and enjoyed the feeling. To him, this was just relaxing.

Sure, he ran into a few gifted players with crazy reflexes, but they still got instantly headshotted.

By now, his ID had become the undisputed gun god of Bloodfight to the End. A lot of the people he'd blown up even came to watch his stream, just to admire those impossible clutch reversals and instant kills again and again.

Of course, some people tried to stream-snipe him.

But Zod swapped weapons in a second, then used a rifle to land five headshots in one second, blowing everyone's minds.

After a dozen win streaks that day, Zod ended his little relaxation session.

While he was developing the VR helmet, Tony Stark launched a counterattack. Nick Fury had evidence, and Zod also gave Tony a copy, so Obadiah got flipped before he could react.

Nick Fury originally planned to arrange an "accident" to quietly remove Obadiah without affecting Stark Industries.

He didn't expect Black Queen to be watching the whole time. When Nick tried to handle it in the shadows, Black Queen exposed everything through her own Global Daily and on Spiderweb, then added more fuel, shaking Stark Industries' stock price into chaos.

Black Queen even forged evidence that Obadiah had evaded over twenty billion dollars in taxes.

Though "forged" was barely the word, because Obadiah really did have a long history of tax evasion.

That immediately alerted the IRS, that violent department, and Obadiah was finished for good.

"Why does the IRS have War Machines?"

Zod stared at the screen in disbelief.

The U.S. Air Force and Navy couldn't even win the quota fights for War Machines, yet the IRS had them?

And not just one.

Ten War Machines.

You're a tax department!

Obadiah falling wasn't the end of it. With his crime of smuggling Stark Industries weapons to Afghan terrorists and the Ten Rings, he could easily "fall to his death" in prison by accident.

Stark Industries was rocked by turmoil because of him. Black Queen also struck from the shadows, damaging Stark Industries even further.

Before Tony Stark could even step in and save Stark Industries in the middle of the crisis, Stark Industries announced bankruptcy.

"Break, then rebuild. Tony Stark, stand on Stark Industries' ruins, raise the Stark banner, and say Stark hasn't fallen."

Zod's Blade Tech Industries swept up plenty of Stark Industries' good stuff. Of course, patented tech couldn't be taken. Those were Tony's private assets.

The production line for the weapons division, something Zod had coveted for ages, could finally be obtained legally. The U.S. also "gave face," though the real reason was simple. For the moment, they couldn't find anyone else who could swallow that entire batch of machines, instruments, and industrial capacity.

Only Blade Tech Industries could take it.

After absorbing that equipment and the weapons division's talent pool, Blade Tech Industries officially became an unstoppable titan of the global military industry. Productivity surged, and even the smaller orders could finally be delivered quickly.

Of course, "smaller" here still meant hundreds of millions.

Zod felt that Blade Tech Industries finally had the vibe of an Umbrella Corporation style umbrella giant.

Military industry, materials, energy, medicine, network, and news.

Six major fields, each with its own killer product, all ahead of the world.

Outside, a ridiculously exaggerated line was circulating.

"Once you enter Blade Tech Industries, you've stepped into the future!"

And a lot of people believed it was the truth.

Zod walked up to the batch of newly delivered machines and instruments.

He had already seen everything down to their atomic structure.

So next came replication.

Copy and paste wasn't hard for Zod when he already had finished products.

So after that, Blade Tech Industries gained several more production lines, along with several more secret production lines set up elsewhere.
