Darius knocked General Zod to the ground with a single punch, and the second punch broke his nose and drew blood.
"And you dare call yourself a Kryptonian? Krypton has no generals as weak as you!"
Darius's normal speaking voice was louder than an ordinary person's roar, practically deafening.
General Zod wiped the blood from his nose. He felt that Darius's attitude toward him was somewhat off—was he being a little too excited?
Then, after getting back to his feet, he noticed it wasn't just Darius who was worked up. The female Kryptonian called Esdeath, the Shi'ar gladiator called Gladiator, the woman with the strange title of Captain Marvel, and a whole host of angelic Kryptonians all looked eager for a fight.
"General!"
Faora and the others couldn't help cheering for General Zod. They couldn't let the Kryptonians from another universe look down on them!
General Zod stared coldly at Darius, then continued trading blows with him.
Unfortunately, he had no idea that his own artificial humans had already been completely fitted with a triple super-powered genetic template combining Kryptonian, Saiyan, and Shi'ar gladiator genes.
Not just him—there were few in the entire universe who could pin these artificial humans down.
One had to admit, the Reality Stone really was useful.
Darius beat General Zod as easily as an adult beating a child.
And after Darius came Esdeath. Esdeath brutally pummeled General Zod, beating him until he began to doubt his own life.
Then it was Gladiator and Captain Marvel, and after that, the entire angelic legion.
Anyway, by the time it was over, General Zod was questioning his entire existence.
His injuries weren't serious, though. Under the light of the Plasma Spark Tower, Krypton had no night, and the abundant light radiation allowed Kryptonians to fully recover within a few breaths.
Just as General Zod was wondering whether these fellow Kryptonians were giving him a show of force or discriminating against him, he noticed that they fought quite amicably with his own subordinates.
What was going on?
New Krypton had far more shocks in store for General Zod and his people.
On New Krypton, they saw Ultramen created through transformation technology. A single punch from a hundred-meter-tall giant was enough to injure even General Zod. Moreover, as a career soldier, he immediately recognized the enormous strategic value and significance of Ultramen as weapons of war.
They completely replaced outdated ships and warships, with flexible space combat and their massive size providing a tremendous advantage.
It was said these Ultramen could even perform spatial displacement and faster-than-light flight, though doing so consumed a great deal of energy.
"General, New Krypton seems different from our side. They place more emphasis on super soldiers."
Faora voiced her opinion.
"But New Krypton has become a Kryptonian Empire as well. It's no different from us in that regard."
General Zod shook his head. He had already heard from the people of New Krypton that the Kryptonian Empire currently ruled over more than a thousand life-bearing planets, with resource planets numbering in the tens of thousands.
It was only due to a shortage of manpower that they hadn't continued expanding.
"If you have the life codex, why not mass-produce Kryptonians?"
That was what puzzled General Zod. If manpower was short, then wouldn't mass-producing Kryptonians solve the problem?
Unfortunately, his authority only extended to the handful of people under his command. To New Krypton, they were like ancient relics.
General Zod truly didn't know what they could contribute—it was as if they were entirely passive.
Though, genetically speaking, a soldier's nature was to obey orders without needing to think.
The supreme emperor—Zod Heath—would take care of everything. The Kryptonian Empire only needed to follow his every will.
"Still, it does seem much better than the council."
General Zod's cold, emotionless heart could only reason to this extent.
Beyond that, he was incapable of thinking further.
Zod Heath indeed had nothing for these few Kryptonians to do.
If they had come across him at the very beginning when he first transmigrated, General Zod and Faora might have become his right and left hands.
Of course, it was also possible that Zod Heath would have become their right and left hands.
But that opportunity had passed. While Zod Heath developed and flourished on his own, the vast Kryptonian Empire no longer needed a scattered handful of Kryptonians.
Moreover, Zod felt that the Kryptonians' weaknesses posed a potential danger, which was why he had given his artificial humans a round of upgrades and modifications.
He wanted to avoid them being instantly wiped out if they ever encountered Kryptonite or a red sun.
After all, the new Kryptonians were different from General Zod and his people. They hadn't grown up in an environment filled with Kryptonite and red suns, so even if they lost their superpowers and became ordinary people, they wouldn't be beaten like dogs.
Of course, the reason they wouldn't be beaten like dogs was also partly because of the Kryptonian armor they wore.
Zod Heath had been continuously absorbing the knowledge contained within the Kryptonian ship. Coupled with the fact that the two Kryptonian researchers had preserved things well, Zod Heath was pleasantly surprised to find that this knowledge had maintained its integrity to the greatest extent possible—at least ninety-five percent.
It even included the technology for using Kryptonian corpses to create super weapons.
Zod Heath did know what that technology was—the technology used to create Doomsday. His brows furrowed tightly, and after pondering for a while, he erased the technology.
Then Zod Heath's super brain digested the knowledge at an astonishing speed. Using the newly acquired knowledge, he upgraded the Black Queen.
Krypton naturally had its own artificial intelligence technology, as well as spatial technology, energy technology, genetic engineering technology, and nanoscience technology.
Kryptonian artificial intelligence was extremely advanced—at least more powerful than the Black Queen's strong AI. As for whether it could compare to the Kree Empire's Supreme Intelligence, that was unknown.
However, even if such a possibility existed, it would probably have been erased. Otherwise, Krypton wouldn't have been a council-based system.
After the Black Queen was upgraded, her handling of affairs became exceedingly fast, and her rate of progress also became exceedingly rapid.
And the entire underground of Krypton became the host for the Black Queen.
That was the name of the Black Queen's host system.
It spread throughout the entire underground, centered on the blazing planetary core, with branches sprawling out to cover Krypton's subterranean depths. The scorching core and the numerous Plasma Spark Towers became its energy sources.
Combined with an entire angelic legion of Kryptonians and tens of thousands of Ultraman warriors, it was unlikely anyone could threaten her safety.
The administrative affairs of over a thousand life-bearing planets were processed and completed at superluminal speed in a rational manner, and the resources of tens of thousands of resource planets were also rationally arranged for extraction and use.
Zod the emperor was thus able to relax considerably. Anyway, he didn't care much about supreme authority or anything like that.
That kind of thing wasn't as useful as his own strength. Even though the Kryptonian Empire was now terrifyingly powerful, Zod could still utterly destroy it in an instant.
