Fortunately, every member of the Xiao Family possessed sufficient life-saving abilities and techniques to deal with situations like this.
Whether it was the dual physical and energy immunity from Energy Absorption, or the Dimensional Gate that could open the Cyber Dimension at any time, both were top-tier survival and escape abilities.
This greatly increased the survival capabilities of the Xiao Family members. As long as they were not instantly killed in a single strike, they could all escape successfully and quickly recover from their injuries using the power of the Cyber Dimension.
Therefore, although the Xiao Family members had been blasted from the sky by the Demigod Alliance Army, besieged by countless allied soldiers and heroes, and even trampled and ravaged by demigods, in reality, they had not suffered overly serious injuries. At most, they only sustained superficial wounds.
It could be said that, so far, among the tens of thousands within the Demigod Alliance Army, only the Valkyrie's Scarlet Rot law possessed the means to truly harm the Xiao Family members.
Most of the other attacks merely increased their energy reserves, while their physical constitutions even became stronger through the continuous beatings, to the point where they once again began launching counterattacks.
The Xiao Family members' strange constitutions also made several demigods feel troubled.
"Their bodies are extremely strange. When my blade cuts them, the sensation feels off. Their bodies seem incapable of absorbing force properly; only laws can truly injure them.
"However, whenever I use a law to invade their bodies, they instantly disappear. And when they reappear, all the Scarlet Rot inside them has already been eliminated."
Malenia, the Valkyrie, shook the dragon blood from her sword as she continued exchanging information with Radahn.
These golden dragons, which could not be killed, shattered, or completely eliminated no matter how they were attacked—and which only grew stronger the more they were struck—made the Valkyrie feel utterly powerless.
This also reminded Malenia of the avatar of the Formless Mother that Mohg had once summoned in Leyndell.
Although that avatar had been weaker in direct strength, it possessed a bizarre life characteristic. It was almost impossible to kill through physical attacks alone.
Moreover, it also possessed the powerful law of Blood. Once struck, enemies would suffer terrifying curses.
Without the Golden Tree's blessed blood droplets to counteract it, those attacked would endure severe tearing injuries while their vitality was continuously drained away.
Faced with such a troublesome existence, even as an Empyrean, the Valkyrie had been helpless against it.
Because although she was an Empyrean, unlike Miquella and Ranni, she was not proficient in laws, nor did she understand sorceries or incantations.
She was a pure warrior skilled only in close combat. She was merely the sharp blade in her brother Miquella's hand, striking wherever he pointed.
The only thing she possessed was her exquisite Waterfowl Dance swordsmanship.
When facing mysterious powers like these, it had always been her brother Miquella who resolved them. The two siblings, one scholarly and one martial, one magical and one warlike, perfectly complemented each other, becoming the most promising beings to ascend to the position of Elden Lord.
It was just a pity that her brother had never intended to become king. What he truly wanted was to replace their mother, abolish the old Golden Order, and become the God of a New World.
And she would become her brother's queen, supporting his divine throne.
After listening to the Valkyrie's explanation, Radahn nodded in agreement and shared his own observations:
"Their bodies seem capable of absorbing most physical and energy attacks. Even when I infused my twin blades with the gravity of mountains, I still couldn't cut them down directly. Instead, it only strengthened them further."
Through the previous exchanges, Radahn had already realized that these golden dragons possessed terrifying abilities that would be difficult to overcome through ordinary means.
Physical attacks were almost useless, while energy attacks produced limited effects. To defeat these golden dragons, one needed to use laws powerful enough to inflict overwhelming damage in an instant and kill them outright.
Otherwise, the enemy would retreat into the void, recover themselves, and return to the battlefield once more.
The problem, however, was that Radahn, despite being a demigod, did not possess his own law.
From the very beginning, he had never aimed to become a god. He merely wished to become Elden Lord.
Therefore, his Great Rune only enhanced his fundamental attributes. What Radahn truly desired was to become like Godfrey, the First Elden Lord whom he admired deeply—
to conquer all the heroes of the Lands Between using only his own fists, and thus ascend to the throne of Elden Lord.
"Big Brother, these dragons' abilities seem to have a limit. Once they absorb too much power at once, their bodies begin glowing, and they become extremely panicked. In order to expend the excess energy, they start attacking frantically..."
Rykard emerged from the shadows carrying the corpse of a Serpent Man, silent fury written all over his face.
The betrayal of his own subordinates had turned him into the true clown of this war, so he had been desperately searching for the dragons' weakness. Unexpectedly, he had actually discovered one.
This was extremely important information. If this weakness could be exploited, it might be possible to break the stalemate and secure victory.
Thus, Rykard chose to pass this information to his elder brother Radahn so they could formulate a new strategy together.
Radahn naturally understood what his younger brother meant, but the requirements were simply too harsh, and he decisively rejected the idea without hesitation:
"It's useless. The endurance limit of those dragons would require even my full-powered attack to exceed.
"In other words, at minimum, two demigods attacking at full strength together would be required to possibly kill a single dragon.
"And the remaining demigod would then have to face the Gloam-Eyed Queen alone. She absolutely would not miss such an opportunity."
"Two?"
Malenia's lips curved slightly upward as she looked at Rykard with a faint smile and softly said:
"Brother sent a message. Defeating enemies does not necessarily mean killing them."
As she spoke, she drew out two short swords—one white and one purple—from the spatial pouch at her waist.
They were the Sword of St. Trina and St. Trina's Torchblade.
Trina was the other half of her brother Miquella. They were two sides of the same existence.
Miquella was male and controlled the law of Unalloyed Gold.
While Trina was female and controlled the law of Sleep.
These two swords were the ceremonial blades of Saint Trina. Anyone struck by them would fall into a sweet slumber and eternal sleep.
Clearly, Malenia's intentions were obvious. Since physical and energy attacks were ineffective, then they would use mental attacks instead.
She refused to believe that these dragons could truly be immune to physical, energy, and mental attacks all at once. Such perfect creatures simply did not exist in the Lands Between.
"Excellent idea!"
A trace of joy appeared on Radahn's face as he reached out and accepted the Sword of St. Trina.
As a divine artifact, the Sleep Sword seemed to sense the change in its wielder and automatically adapted itself to Radahn's body size, instantly transforming into a pure white lady's shortsword seven meters long.
Radahn gripped the hilt and felt the cold sensation radiating from the blade.
After casually swinging it a few times, he helplessly shook his head.
"It really doesn't suit me."
