The last seat was empty, a seat meant for Loki, but one that he had not occupied in a very, very long time.
"Greetings council of gods," Loki spoke, his voice clear and crisp like he wasn't worried about what was to happen.
"Loki, you know why you have been summoned, do you not?" Odin spoke first. His voice was calm and steady, but his eyes betrayed his true feelings. He wanted so much to slam the head of his son into the ground so hard it would shatter the world that they stood on, but as much as he was his father, Loki was still a true god.
"I do, or I think I do," Loki said. He stepped forward with confident steps until he was at the center of the room, each god's gaze shifted to him.
"I believe it is about the awakened known as Shadow, the one I wanted to take under my wing," Loki said casually, waving his hand around as he explained.
