Chapter 320 - The Golden Legend and the Start of the Final Battle

Upon returning to the One Punch Man world, Aomori immediately entered the True Sight.

Just like the dungeon worlds, the entire world transformed into a vast expanse of white mist. Looking at the endless fog, Aomori was curious if it had a boundary. However, time was pressing; exploration would have to wait. He looked into the distance, his gaze sweeping over brilliant orbs of light.

"As expected, the light orb representing Saitama is the largest, followed by God's. It hasn't escaped its shackles either," Aomori murmured. "I wonder if I look like them in the eyes of others..."

Aomori sank downward with practiced ease. After a long while, he predictably saw a shimmering World Tree seedling. It was considerably larger than the one in the other world, radiating a terrifying pressure. A dozen tender leaves sprouted from it, each a vibrant, dripping green, showing no signs of abnormality.

"Strange. I thought my existence and God's would cause the World Tree seedling to become diseased, but there's no impact at all. Are we too insignificant to it?" At the very least, Aomori felt he wasn't on the same level as the tree.

Aomori looked around, but no guardian figure like Od Lagna appeared. After hesitating for a moment, he refrained from approaching the seedling further out of caution, fearing it might unleash an indiscriminate attack. Estimating that enough time had passed, Aomori exited the True Sight.

The familiar sensation of pain washed over him. He sighed, closed his eyes, and entered a deep meditation once more.

In the vast desert on the outskirts of Z-City, clusters of crimson flames ignited.

"Stop struggling! Organization, today is your doomsday!"

"Lightning Core Mode, Activate!"

Facing the swarms of robots ahead, Genos let out a great shout. His entire body erupted with powerful electrical currents, shining with a blinding light. He transformed into a bolt of lightning; every flash destroyed a dozen robots as he moved as if through an empty field.

"Genos is so strong! Then we need to get serious too." Mumen Rider took a deep breath. The crimson armor on his body began to glow with a brilliant golden light. He threw a heavy punch, trailing endless flames that roared straight into the horizon. Any enemy in that direct path was turned to ash.

"Sigh, you guys could at least consider my feelings," Glasses said, adjusting his spectacles and complaining. He controlled water vapor to seep into the robots' core components, wreaking havoc within. Wherever he went, groups of robots collapsed silently.

"Who told you to use that method?" Fubuki chuckled, unleashing several tornadoes that sucked the robots in and ground them to pieces.

Under Genos's leadership, the heroes' morale was like a rising tide, and the members of the Organization were in full retreat.

"Damn it! Do you heroes really intend to drive us to extinction?"

"What? Thinking of begging for mercy now? Too late!" Genos's attacks grew sharper. "When you were senselessly slaughtering humans, did you show those poor people any mercy? So, go to hell and repent!"

"Genos, you're wrong there." Glasses shook his head and said, "Lacking humanity and a soul, these robots don't even have the right to go to hell."

"So, give up. We won't show any mercy."

"Bastards! You think you've already won?" The shield-bearing robot, seemingly the boss, roared, "Witness the Organization's final trump card!"

It activated its thrusters and soared into the sky, its body surging with lightning just like Genos.

"Electricity? No, it's magnetism!" Genos reacted instantly, quickly flattening himself against the ground as long spikes extended from his palms and feet, anchoring him deep into the earth.

"Hahahaha, let us merge!"

As the magnetism reached its peak, every robot including the wreckage on the ground, except for Genos, was involuntarily pulled into the sky, snapping onto the shield-bearing robot.

"Assimilate!"

The robots, originally just crudely assembled, began to melt into a paste-like substance, flowing like a fluid. Finally, a giant robot over a hundred meters tall stood before the group.

"My name is Demon God. Let me bring an end to this miserable world. But before that, I will tear you into a thousand pieces!"

"What should we do? It looks like trouble," Glasses said solemnly.

"Don't overthink it. Even if it's trouble, we have to go in. Otherwise, the city behind us will be destroyed," Mumen Rider said, clenching his fists.

"Mumen is right. We must stop it!" Genos stood up, his face filled with resolve.

"Yeah!"

The group charged together, unleashing their various means—lightning, fire, water, and hurricanes—all slamming into the Demon God robot. However, these powerful attacks couldn't even break the energy shield on its surface.

"Useless, useless!" the Demon God robot laughed maniacally. "With the gathered power of hundreds of robots, I am invincible! No matter how you attack, it is futile!"

It extended an arm toward Genos and the others, its palm opening to reveal a dark abyss where a massive energy ball began to condense.

"Die! Demon God Cannon!"

A blinding white light suddenly erupted, making even the sun seem dim. Watching this terrifying attack approach, everyone's faces turned pale as snow.

At the critical moment, a majestic figure over ten meters tall stood before them. The white cape on its back collided with the Demon God Cannon, the immense force driving its legs deep into the ground. But without a doubt, it had successfully blocked the shot.

"You are... Saitama?" Mumen Rider said, his mouth agape in disbelief. The others also had strange expressions.

"Phew, that was close. I finally made it." Saitama's excited voice echoed from within a Gundam painted entirely yellow. "You guys guessed it was me so fast? I was hoping to give you a surprise."

"No, this look... I can't say it's 100% like you, but it's at least 80%," Glasses couldn't help but complain.

"Hmph, cool, right? This is a Gundam custom-built for me," Saitama said proudly.

"..." The group didn't know how to respond.

Instead, the Demon God robot spoke, breaking the silence: "Where did this ugly robot come from? How dare you ruin my plans!"

A large "anger vein" symbol appeared on the Gundam's forehead. Saitama shouted furiously, "I haven't even settled the score with you for ruining my cape! You have no taste! Watch how I deal with you!"

Inside the cockpit, Saitama's hands became a blur, frantically tapping the control buttons. The "Bootleg Saitama-Go" soared into the sky. Its right hand curled into a fist, pulled back sharply, and struck with heavy force.

BOOM!

Parts scattered like rain, falling to the ground.

"Saitama!" the people below shouted in shock.

The Demon God robot opened its two palms and tossed the mangled Gundam aside, saying with contempt, "Tch, trash. A waste of my time."

"Alright, your reinforcements have gone ahead. I'll send you down to reunite with them shortly."

It extended its two arms, intending to use two Demon God Cannons to end these annoying humans, but a voice suppressed with rage echoed in its ear: "You actually dared to break my Gundam... Do you know this was my beloved Gundam's first appearance..."

"Pay me back for my Gundam!" With bloodshot eyes, Saitama threw a punch of pure rage.

BOOM!

A destructive force rippled through the Demon God robot's entire body, causing it to disintegrate into ash and vanish into the air without even leaving a final word.

"It's finally over..." Genos faced the bright sunlight, a sentimental smile appearing on his face. "You can finally rest in peace..."

Upon hearing the news that the Organization had been completely destroyed, Aomori slowly exhaled. "It's time to settle this."

After processing all the documents on his desk, he immediately entered the system and used his barely sufficient Points to pull a ten-draw from the high-level treasure chests. After opening them, amidst a clashing radiance of light, Aomori immediately spotted a fragment shimmering with orange light.

"Golden Fragment. Finally, all seven pieces are collected."

He took the other six pieces out of his backpack. They immediately combined of their own accord into a glittering golden chest. Before it even opened, the power radiating from within made Aomori raise an eyebrow.

"Interesting. It seems to be a divine artifact."

He flicked his finger, opening the golden chest. Instantly, the room was filled with golden light. In the blue sky outside, stars suddenly appeared; even the piercing sunlight couldn't withstand their radiance. This peculiar phenomenon caused many people to stop and watch.

"So it's this..." A golden light also ignited in Aomori's eyes.

After packing his things, Aomori's figure flickered several times, appearing in a room filled with the aroma of meat. In the center of the simple room stood a long table. Amidst the mess on the tabletop, a rich soup in a hot pot bubbled away.

Fubuki had just let out a burp when she saw Aomori suddenly appear. She quickly covered her mouth, stood up, and cried out in surprise, "Sensei, why are you here?"

Mumen Rider, Glasses, and Genos reacted as well, putting down their chopsticks one after another to stand and bow. "Chairman Aomori."

Only Saitama remained, stuffed with a face full of meat as he continued to shove more slices into his mouth with a look of grief and indignation, not even reacting to Fubuki's glare.

"Chairman, please don't blame Saitama. He's heartbroken because his Gundam was scrapped," Mumen Rider said quickly.

"I'm not some tyrant, why are you so afraid of me? Everyone, sit down and talk." Aomori walked to Fubuki's side and sat in the empty seat she had vacated. The others smiled unnaturally and sat back down.

"I came over first to congratulate you on successfully destroying the Organization." Aomori looked at Genos and said, "Congratulations, Genos. From now on, live more for yourself."

"Yes!" Genos nodded heavily.

"The second thing is, I want to ask you, Saitama, to go on a secret mission with me."

Saitama chewed the meat stuffed in his mouth vigorously and said indistinctly, "What kind of mission?"

"I said it's a secret mission, how could he tell you here! Listen seriously!" If she didn't have to maintain her image in front of Aomori, Fubuki would have thrown a wind blade at him.

"It's not a mission that requires strict secrecy, but to avoid complications, I'll tell you the details later," Aomori said slowly. "However, I can tell you the mission reward. A brand-new version of a Gundam. How about it?"

"!" Saitama swallowed all the meat in his mouth, instantly switching to a serious expression. "Chairman, I am fully prepared. I can leave for the mission at any time!"

"..."

"No rush. Wait until you're full."

"No need, I'm already full!" Saitama said, patting his bulging stomach.

"Fine, let's head out then." Aomori stood up and grabbed Saitama's arm.

"Please look after the house for me," Saitama dropped these words before immediately vanishing along with Aomori. The others were left staring at each other.

"While Saitama is away, let's hurry up and eat."

"Good idea!" A new round of the meat-snatching war began.

Aomori took Saitama and flashed into mid-air, carrying him toward the sky.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! It's so high!" Saitama cried out in surprise as the buildings on the ground became as tiny as sesame seeds.

"What, are you afraid of heights?" With a telekinetic shield blocking the wind, Aomori's voice reached Saitama's ears without hindrance.

"Not really, I'm just not quite used to it." Saitama looked up and said, "It's about time you told me the mission details. This feeling of knowing nothing is hard to bear."

"Alright, I'll tell you." Aomori pointed to the massive ball of flesh hanging outside the planet and said, "It's simple. Our mission is to take that thing out."

"Eh?! We're going to outer space? We can't breathe there, right?" Saitama was shocked.

"So, you'd better breathe in as much oxygen as you can now and store it in your body."

"That makes sense... like hell it does! How can a human possibly do something like that!"

Faced with the skepticism, Aomori responded with a smile, forcing Saitama to obediently take several deep breaths, puffing his cheeks out. They were like a rocket, piercing through the thick atmosphere and entering outer space.

It's huge! Saitama thought to himself, pinching his nose and keeping his mouth shut. As they got closer, the ball of flesh looked even more magnificent, nearly occupying their entire field of vision.

As I thought, it's not fully formed yet. Aomori wanted to strike while it wasn't ready. Waiting for the enemy to come to him was not his style.

As if sensing a threat, the massive ball of flesh began to writhe, and dense tentacles sprouted from its surface.

I choose you, Saitama. Give it a heavy punch and wake it up! As Aomori sent the mental transmission, he swung Saitama and threw him forward.

For the Gundam, here goes! Saitama mustered all his strength and struck down with all his might. "Serious Punch!"

BOOM!

Amidst the sound effects he imagined, the massive ball of flesh shuddered and suddenly collapsed.

Huh, that simple?

"Of course it couldn't be that simple..." Aomori's eyes glowed with purple light as he stared at a certain spot.

Standing there was a "person" about the size of a human. Its entire body contained swirling galaxies, and its eyes, like black holes, were fixed firmly on Saitama.

"It's you again. Why do you always have to make things difficult for me?"

"???" Saitama was a literal question mark.
