Vestor took a deep breath as he was secretly relieved that the Beast King wasn't here. Had he been present and heard the arrogant tone this merchant had, he would've killed him on the spot.
"Our King is currently away, but should be back soon," Vestor replied. "I am Vestor, the national advisor and a stand-in for matters in the kingdom. You're not the first human merchant to visit, thus I am inclined to think that you'd want to sell something to us, right?"
"Yes, I've brought a few valuable and unique items with me. But for now, may I be given a place to rest? I don't think this kingdom has an inn for visitors though…"
"We don't have an inn for visitors because we're not accepting any visitors at the moment. But there is an empty house for a government official right next to the city square. The guards will escort you later," Vestor said. "As for the goods…"
Vestor was about to reject them since their king wasn't here to assess whether he wanted to buy something or not.
